George Drissell

Offspinner George Drissell arrived at Durham via spells at Gloucestershire and Somerset in his native west country. He made his Championship debut as a concussion replacement for Liam Trevaskis in 2022 but enjoyed most success in the One-Day Cup, earning successive contract extensions through to the end of 2024. Drissell came through the Gloucestershire academy, making his first-class debut at the age of 18. He signed a two-year professional deal but, despite taking a career-best 4 for 83 against Glamorgan, was released at the end of 2019, before being picked up on a short-term contract as one-day cover at Somerset.
