Harpreet Brar IPL factfile

- A left-arm spinner who can bat a bit, Harpreet Brar landed his first IPL contract ahead of the 2019 season, with Punjab Kings (PBKS, then Kings XI Punjab) picking him for his base price of INR 20 lakh. He made his IPL debut that season but played only two games and went wicketless.

- His best performance came in 2021 when he picked up 3 for 19 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He dismissed Virat Kohli for his maiden IPL wicket and also went on to remove Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers. He played seven matches that year.

- He was once again picked up by PBKS at the 2022 auction, this time for INR 3.8 crore. He became a regular in the squad in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, picking up 16 wickets in those two seasons overall, with his best of 3 for 40 coming against Delhi Capitals (DC) in 2023.

- He was released ahead of the 2025 auction but was bought back by PBKS for INR 1.50 crore.
