Robert Douglas McKelvie, who wrote extensively in the press on tennis and rackets and died it hospital at Banbury on January 5 aged 83 played a single first-class match, for Free Foresters against Cambridge at Fenner's in 1948. A right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper, he had previously played for Buckinghamshire after being in the Xl at Malvern. He played club cricket for Chiswick Park and Gerrard's Cross.
