Ernest North was a professional bowler employed by the MCC who played for Middlesex between 1923 and 1927. In 1925 he was a regular in the side, taking 43 wickets at 24.65 and scoring 80 not out - his only first-class fifty - against Worcestershire. He was a regular umpire in Minor Counties matches throughout the 1930s.
