Profile

Bangalore Jaya Ram played all his first-class cricket in England where he moved in 1903 to study at the School of Mines. He scored a hundred for WG Grace's London County in a friendly days before the start of the 1903 season leading to immediate comparisons with the by-then legendary Ranji but that proved an unfair burden. He returned to England as part of the 1911 Indian touring side.
