Ben Ackland comes from a rich pedigree of cricketing talent. His father was on the books at Somerset and played Under-19 cricket for England. A batting allrounder who bowls offbreaks, he admires Michael Clarke's ability to play spin. He made a half-century against Uganda to help Ireland win by 67 runs in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2010 Qualifier.
