A right-handed opening batsman, Srinivas Rangaraj played seven seasons for Mysore (now Karnataka) between 1952 and 1961. His best returns came during the 1958-59 season, when he scored 271 runs at 54.20. He scored his only first-class century (135) that season, against Hyderabad. He was picked for the South Zone team against the touring West Indians in 1959, but he managed scores of only 5 and 19. He died at 77 in 2010.
