Anureet Singh, a medium-pacer, prides himself on being able to bowl with unerring accuracy and can move the new ball both ways. Having announced himself in 2008, with a six-for on first-class debut for Railways, Anureet took four more seasons to establish himself in his Ranji Trophy side.

While wickets didn't come in heaps initially - the highest he ever tallied in a season before 2013-14 was 21 wickets - his relentless pursuit on non-responsive tracks earned him a contract with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2009 IPL. Three games on, he found himself on the fringes for five years before he was picked up by Kings XI Punjab in 2014. It was between his two IPL stints that Anureet the bowler evolved; his showing in the 2013-14 Ranji Trophy season where he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker, with 44 wickets, made the selectors sit up and take notice. Those exploits earned him a spot in the Rest of India squad for the Irani Cup and India A's squad for the tour of Australia that followed.

In 2014, he impressed with his ability to bowl yorkers in the end overs for Kings XI Punjab in the Champions League T20, and featured regularly for the franchise the following IPL season. Anureet was retained by Kings XI ahead of the 2016 IPL.
