Chinelle Henry

Chinelle Henry is a lower-order batter, known for her power-hitting and athleticism on the field. She is also a handy fast bowler and all of those qualities combined helped her break into the West Indies side, in both forms of limtied-overs cricket, in the space of five months in 2013-14. But it wasn't until later that she really found herself.

After impressing in West Indies' training camp in early 2018, Henry was called into the side to defend the T20 World Cup title in 2018. Next year, she received a maiden central contract.

Following the Covid-19-induced break, Henry caught the eye of former West Indie men's fast bowler Corey Collymore at a camp in Antigua and worked extensively with him on developing both facets of her game to develop into a genuine allrounder.

In early 2024, Henry picked up 6 for 31, including a hat-trick, against Windward Islands in the Women's Super50 Cup to seal Jamaica's title with a game to spare. She was part of Barbados Royals' title win in the Women's Caribbean Premier League in 2023 and was subsequently retained as well.
