Profile

A reasonable leg-break bowler, Lonell de Beer first caught the eye of the South Africa selectors when she opened the bowling for Northerns against the touring England side in 2004, picking up 3 for 35 from her ten overs. Unfortunately she did not have a great time at the 2005 World Cup, collecting just a solitary wicket, but performed well in the series against the Netherlands in 2007, although she was overlooked for the Test on that tour.
