Diana Baig is a double-international, capped in both cricket and football for Pakistan, has a degree in health and physical education, and is the first cricketer from the mountainous region of Gilgit-Baltistan. Before that, the sports-obsessed Baig also threw javelin and shot-put for her region.

From street cricket, Baig progressed to community events and local teams, and by 2010 she was leading the newly formed Gilgit-Baltistan women's team. Two years later, she was selected for Pakistan's A side, and then as a reserve player for the 2013 World Cup.

She made the football team in the 2014 at the SAFF Championships in Bahrain, with her international cricket debut coming in 2015 when she first played in the ODIs against Bangladesh and then in T20Is, against West Indies. She would go on to play over 50 games in each white-ball format for her country.
