Full name Nazmul Hassan
Born date unknown
Nazmul Hassan was appointed the Bangladesh Cricket Board president in October 2012 after AHM Mustafa Kamal became the ICC vice-president a week earlier. According to the board's constitution, the government appoints a BCB chief, and Hassan won the battle against former president Saber Hossain Chowdhury, who was also in the running for the post.
Before taking over as the 14th president of the BCB, Hassan had served as chairman of the cricket committee in Abahani, one of Dhaka's major sporting clubs, since 2008. As an administrator, Hassan is the managing director of Beximco Pharmaceutical Ltd, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh.
Son of the country's president Zillur Rahman, Hassan is himself a member of parliament after having won his seat from Kishoreganj in the 2009 elections for Awami League.
