Micky Roche was an offspinner and useful lower-order batsman who played for Victoria between 1895 and 1898 and worked as a professional at Lord's from 1897 to 1900. at the same time turning out regularly for Middlesex. His best season was 1899 when he took 60 wickets including 7 for 103 against Lancashire. Against Kent he scored 74 not out batting at No. 11, adding a then record 230 for the last wicket with Richard Nicholls.
