Tadiwanashe Marumani

Tadiwanashe Marumani is a top-order batter who rose through the age groups in Zimbabwe cricket from Under-13s to Under-19s, then to the A side and now international cricket. Marumani's first stint in the Zimbabwe jersey was when he was picked for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup held in South Africa, where made 257 runs in six games at an average of 42.83 to finish as Zimbabwe's highest run-getter, and fourth-highest overall.

In April 2021 he made his T20 debut for Southern Rocks and recorded four half-centuries in his first five games. That led to him being picked for Zimbabwe's three-match T20I series against Pakistan a few days later. Three months later Marumani got his ODI cap in a three-match series against Bangladesh in Harare.

After two relatively lukewarm seasons with Rocks in the Logan Cup where he averaged 19.61, Marumani switched to Mashonaland Eagles ahead of the 2022-23 season and he immediately struck form. In his first season there, he scored 218 runs in five innings, averaging 54.50. He followed it up with his most successful season with 630 runs in 11 innings at 70.00 which included three fifties and two centuries. He notched two more first-class hundreds in the next season.

Marumani played 18 T20Is in 2024, as Sikandar Raza made a conscious effort to give youngsters long ropes. Between 2023 and 2025, he had scored seven fifties, though mostly against smaller teams. However, he lost his place in the T20I side for the tri-series against South Africa and New Zealand.
