Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav took 5 for 31 in ten overs to set up India Under-19's nine-wicket win against Nepal Under-19 in Dubai. Yadav's wickets were of batsmen No. 2 to 6 and he left the Nepal innings crippled. Only three batsmen made it into double figures - with Bibhatsu Thapa making 47 and Aarif Sheikh 40 - as Nepal were dismissed for 136 in 44.4 overs. Spinners Karan Kaila and Sarfaraz Khan took two wickets each. India's openers raced towards the target by adding 131 runs for the first wicket in 24.1 overs. Akhil Herwadkar followed his century in the opening game with 71 off 67 balls, while Vijay Zol was unbeaten on 61. India reached the target with 24.5 overs to spare.

Legspinner Karamat Ali took 5 for 25 in ten overs to bowl Pakistan Under-19 to a 150-run win against UAE Under-19 in Sharjah. Chasing 274, UAE made a positive start, reaching 56 for 0 in the 13th over before the collapse began. They lost ten wickets for 68 runs and were dismissed for 124 in 38.5 overs. After they won the toss, UAE used as many as nine bowlers to try and restrict Pakistan, but to no avail. Only the opening bowlers Pankaj Prakash, who took 4 for 63, and Sajid Khan bowled their full quota. Hasan Raza and Saud Shakeel scored half-centuries for Pakistan and Zafar Gohar blitzed 32 off 13 balls to take the score to 274 for 9.

Malaysia Under-19 collapsed for 32 in 22.3 overs to give Sri Lanka Under-19 a 255-run win in Abu Dhabi. Seamers Anuk Fernando and Binura Fernando took 3 for 11 and 4 for 12. Harvindran Rajendaran was Malaysia's top scorer and he made only 10. Malaysia also had to chase leather after they put Sri Lanka in, with Sadeera Samarawickrama, Priyamal Perera and Thilaksha Sumanasiri scoring half-centuries to lead their team to 287 for 6. The final surge came from Anuk Fernando, who blitzed 41 off 15 balls.

Bangaldesh Under-19 defended a modest total by 16 runs despite a rally from Afghanistan Under-19's ninth-wicket pair. Chasing 169, Afghanistan had been reduced to 117 for 8 in the 40th over, but the captain Nasir Ahmedzai added 33 runs with the No. 10 Abdullah Adil to give them hope. Adil, however, was dismissed with 20 to get and then Afghanistan had to score 18 off the last two overs. Ahmedzai, batting on 52, took a single off the first ball of the 49th over and then watched his No. 11 Zai-ur-Rehman fail to get a run off the next two deliveries. With 17 to win, they attempted a single off the third and Ahmedzai was run out, giving Bangladesh victory. Like Afghanistan, Bangladesh also built their innings around one man's fifty. Nazmul Hossain Shanto made 58 but there was not much support from anyone else. Bangladesh slumped from 122 for 4 to 169 all out in 45.1 overs. Syed Shirzad and Abdullah Adil took three wickets each for Afghanistan.

KULDEEP is the spinner INDIA could do with. Hope he continues to develop - he should be groomed by assigning an ex-great to coach him.

@RK204, Because AFG cricket standard is not up to the mark yet. You also need some cricketing infrastructure in the country.

I don't know why ICC taking so long to give AFG permanent ODI status!!

Kuldeep is fully ready to play for UP ranji team and this was a perfect setting for him to be tried at domestic level .. but unfortunately due to presence of ex Indian player turned top order batsmen Piyush Chawla who has had a horrible season but still has been with persisted with he was denied the opportunity this time .. Hope next season he plays as many matches as he can and delivers the goods .. India needs a good young spinner at this point of time and he can be touted and prepared for the future
