'The more technology comes in, the more it helps a spinner'

Shane Warne defends the use of legspin in the T20 era and explains why he loved having his bowling dissected on camera

If T20 takes the legspinner out of the game, or the really quick bowler for that matter, it will have harmed cricket more than any money could ever repay. Warne is the best bowler of any type I have ever seen. For someone like him to be reduced to bowling 24 balls trying to keep the runs down is unthinkable.

It's good to hear Warnie say he would welcome having his bowling examined on TV. The really great ones know that whatever you can do, they can come up with something to overcome it. I'd love to have seen him bowl to Sobers, the best batsman I have ever seen. That would be a contest to dream about.
