League round Win 2 Loss 0 Tie/NR 1-1 Entra over for tied match in knockout round only

I really don't understand that 4 point theory

@Rohit... if BCCI has extra share compares to CSA and CA then distribute that EXTRA equally between remaining others OR handover CLT20 to the ICC

My proposed IPL knockout round Eliminator - 3rd vs 4th Qualifier - 2nd vs winner of eliminator Final - 1st vs winner of qualifier

keep it simple silly

BCCI , CSA & CA sponsor the tournament....Other boards don't throw away a single penny for it... So, these boards have the privilege to field more than 1 team in the league... Since BCCI has more share in the CL... It fields 3 teams and can also field another team in case a spot is left open... It is the same as the Football Champions League .

too many distracted views... if you really want to stabilize cricket out of hand of money oriented decision makings...

when the viewership is down by a landslide.. it will create panic on who has the power / money. they will be forced to make decisions in the interests of the game or they will find themselves evicted quiet soon rather immediate...

no crying on the wall.. as it does not do good to criers or the game.

well i dont agree with the concept why is teams from NZ SL, PAK are made to qualify where as india has got 4 teams

Posted by   on (October 7, 2013, 12:25 GMT)

The BCCI has way too much power and the ICC is not about to challenge it. Now the WICB is trying to forge closer links with the BCCI in an attempt to piggyback on all the money that is in the game today....shameful....

I have watched and enjoyed this tornament. Great. I love all the teams and players. I am very thankful for this possibilty. BUT sadly its all Indian. Therefore it should not be called Champions League rather IPL-Champions League. I do not understand why having 4 ipl teams in it.

champions league doesnt make any sense..it should be just one team each from 20-20 domestic leagues of main cricketing nations but having 4 ipl teams is simply insane..ipl has killed cricket and champions league is like rubbing salt on wounds..great game has been made into a money making business sadly

@stup1d it is indeed a private competition but the fact that THE ICC has provisioned a window for this in it's yearly calendar suggest so it suggests that occurs should take charge to make if fair. I don't have any issues with MORE IPL teams in the competition than the rest but it would have to be proportionate. 4out of10 IPL teams in the main round cannot be right! specially of there are only 8/9IPL teams. and no team from England, Pakistan or Bangladesh. what I propose is to have the champion of each domestic competition qualify directly and the rest of the teams are made up by the runners up or even the third polka and team in case OF IPL. There should be teams based on hour strong the domestic it's like in champions league in football.

It has zero credibility - it should be local winner form top 8 test nations competing - fair. But glad Tendulkar won it yesterday - he has now won everything there is to win in cricket, well deserved (SA fan)

CLT20 has little meaning really...you will see Indian teams dominate this events as they have the power to buy the best players in the world...It would have been a different tournament if the 12 players who chose to play for their IPL teams had chosen to play for their country's team instead.
