As far as holding is concerned he should not be in any format of the game. I wonder who is good enough for any format. All out players are mediocre if you ask me.

The W I selectord/managment are weak and afraid to make tough decisions, can't blame W I captain, he just don't have the ability to perform at the highest level, only people who can't see this are these stubborn selectors/coaches and sammys croanies. we have a problem here in the W I, in england, austraila, etc they dont have the insularity we have her in the W I they play the best team, in the W I we all want the people fron our neck of the woods on the team, and we are also burdened to try to pick someone from each island.even if that means leaving out someone who may be better. The first thing a captain needs to have is the respect of hos players as a performer, this W I captain don't not only on the field issued also off the field issues i wont go into hear just think for yourselves a few months back.

Sammy is captain becoz he never rebelled like other windies player..if not him then who

Sammy is not great, but he is underrated. He averages about 28 as a bowler, which is very good. The batting is not very good, but he is no worse than mediocre. The question really is not 'how good is he?' but 'are there better replacements?'. WI is not exactly rolling in batting wealth. Are there clearly better batsmen who can bowl a bit? Or clearly better bowlers who can bat a bit? If such people are not available then it would be wrong to drop Sammy. Sammy justifies his place as long as better replacements are not there.

whats wrong with Sammy being in Playing XI if players like Ramdin can be in XI. Ramdin, I feel, may be due to lack of people interested in keeping in WI, he got a chance to play international cricket. I feel he learnt cricket only after he came in internation crick. I always repent not going to WI where I too could have got a chance in playng XI if i just told i could keep wickets

Sammy proved to me by opening the bowling he is all about himself.

I agree with (kip1).... I remind us all that it is the same Sammy who led the West Indies from 8th in the world test ranking to 5th. There is no leaders in the team, Brave was brought to lead the ODIs, in my opinion he fail continuously. In addition, comment above on (November 14, 2013, 11:05 GMT) could be correct too. i was born in Barbardos but in West Indies cricket today you have no leaders. Ganga from T&T was on of them. I see Sammy as a leader, howver WI need to develop a fighting spirit and stop fighting amomst themselves.

Once again, Sammy has clearly demonstrated that he does not have the mental capacity to : 1.) be a test cricketer, 2.) be the capitan, 3.) ever call himself a leader, 4.) bat nor bowl, and finally he does not have the support of fans around the world, especially with the way he got out last night when his team wasin trouble. As for Mr. Holding, I have always liked you honest assessment however, I think you have missed an opportunity to make this call alot earlier. I also agree with youon Gayle. What are weplaying himfor? his reputation? that he has the ability to score? wrongon this one as well on Powell, Darren Bravo,Tino Best, Ramdin. had you watched the first day of the second test, you would seeclearly how they stack up against Deonarine's technique. In business,we say heads should roll.Fire thecoach and all the support staff. Find a new team.

It's very difficult to justify Sammy's place in the test side as a player alone. His bowling is steady at best but he is no strike bowler and his batting doesn't add up to anything higher than number 7 or possibly 8. As a result, with him in the team, the side always one batsman or one bowler short. This is hurting the balance of the side.

sammy is making the test team weaker but i don't blame sammy , i blame the no brain selectors who put him there. what should sammy do when he is given the captainncy ?refuse it,remember it's all about money and if the idiots keep putting him there then he will accept the money and the captainancy . the selectors should be fired for putting a mediocre team on the field.
