@Vipravara: So what if he has got wickets in India? Guys who discredit performances of Indian players in India will realize how valuable these performances are only when the team fails to perform in India. Similar discrediting happened in Aus ODI series. Only 5 batsmen made merry- Dawan, Rohit, Virat, Dhoni and Bailey. Rest failed miserably or performed occasionally - all in the same pitch and bowling! Even then, performances of these 5 stars was written off quoting pitch conditions and poor bowling instead of acknowledging that superior batting forced bowling to deteriorate! Coming back, where did Philander, Steyn, get their wickets mainly? Spin-friendly pitches in India? No! Pace bowlers get their wickets on pace-friendly wickets outside subcontinent and spinners get their wickets on spin-friendly pitches!! Only great bowlers like Warne, Murali, McGrawth, get their wickets all over the world. There is time for Ashwin to raise from starhood to greatness! He is still 18 tests old!!

Wish him all the best to silence the critics on his overseas records,

Out of his 100 victims in 18 tets, he got 91 in India in 15 tests @ 24.2 average with 52.2 strike rate. Whereas, in 3 tests in Australia, he got the remaining 9 wickets @ 62.77 with 112 SR. The stats tell the tale, how pale is his achievement and how much he needs to prove himself overseas. - a cricket lover from India

Congrats Ashwin!!! This is one of the best achievements by an Indian and Ashwin truly deserved a praise for this. The only point for the distractors to claim is that Ashwin played most of his 18 tests at home which supports spin bowling and I want Ashwin to prove his class in South Africa and that will silence the critics. I wish Ashwin to do more for Team India and wish him all Success!!! All the best Ashwin!!!
