West Indian batsman Marlon Samuels who was his team sole resistance, attempts to hook as Australian defeats the West Indies on the fourth day of the fourth Test match at the MCG in Melbourne, 29 December 2000. Australia won the match by 352 run with Gillespie demolishing the West Indies taking 6-40. Australia lead the series 4-0 and extend their world record winning run to fourteen consecutive victories.
