10.1 to AJ Stewart, a swish off the pads, and caught at midwicket! A sharp take from Ranatunga, but a massive disappointment for Stewart, who had been purring along up until then! It was a leg-stump half-volley from Vaas, there to be struck, but he clipped it straight to the man! It was excellently timed to be fair, you'll almost count that as unlucky. Half a yard either side and he was clear. 64/1

28.4 to N Hussain, Hussain is unlucky here. He has made a forward press to draw a flat delivery down the leg side, and has changed his shot in time to look to paddle it fine, he has middled it too, but unfortunately he has found the only man in the vicinity of a paddle sweep: short fine leg. ODI wicket No. 150 for Jayasuriya. What an asset he is to this side. 148/3

10.1 to ST Jayasuriya, whatever it is, it won;t continue for too long. Gough has had his own back with good bowling. In the last over too, he tucked Jayasuriya up with a shortish delivery. He does the same here, and draws a leading edge as Jayasuriya looks to work it into the leg side. Easy catch for short midwicket. 68/3
38.4 to A Ranatunga, slower ball gets Ranatunga. He does what he was brought on for. Ranatunga tries to play the flick shot he has been playing in the last few overs, but he is way early into the shot. Ends up chipping it to straight midwicket. England will be relieved that their irritant is gone, but the big wicket right now is the youngster Jayawardene. 223/5

3.5 to MS Atapattu, lovely catch but a loose loose shot. No feet as he drives a length ball on the up and gets a thick edge, but what an incredible catch this is. For my money, it is the catch of the summer. In a way it has gone straight to Fairbrother at first slip, but Alec Stewart has dived right across him, totally blindsighting him. So the only reaction time he has had is after it has crossed Stewart, which means he has had no time to sight this except for having seen the trajectory when Atapattu edged it. And he has taken this calmly, not even bothering to look at Stewart or celebrate. Special catch. 8/2

22.6 to HP Tillakaratne, bowled him! A similar shot to the last delivery, or at least similar intent. But the change of pace from Croft meant that the ball zipped through his defences before the shot had been formed, he pushed that one out with his index finger, and after jamming off Tillakaratne's pads, it has wriggled into his stumps!. 137/4

45.2 to DPMD Jayawardene, another twist. Another turn. Wells has pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Full and straight, Jayawardene looks to manufacture a boundary into the leg side, walks across the stumps, but is beaten and hit right in front of the stumps. The crowd stands as one for a grand effort, but he is not too thrilled that he has left the job unfinished. One thing I can say: this is certainly not the last we are hearing of Jayawardene. 269/7
47.4 to UDU Chandana, and another twist. This match refuses to die down. Chandana has brought it down to a run a ball but has now sliced a slow full toss to short cover for a diving catch for Fairbrother. 288/8
