Sanath Jayasuriya, Sri Lankan skipper and vice-captain of the Asia XI, walks in a hotel lobby upon his arrival in Dhaka, 06 April 2000 along with three compatriots to play in Saturday's one-day limited over Cricket Cup match against the World XI. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is organizing the event in Dhaka as part of its Cricket Week. Wasim Akram of Pakistan and Mark Waugh of Australia are to captain respectively the Asia XI and World XI.
