49.1 to Sana Mir, thick edge and gone. Slashes at this length ball outside off, it skids straight on. Sana Mir was cramped for room and ended up getting a big, fat nick. Straightforward catch to Chetty. 201/7 49.6 to Asmavia Iqbal, mistimes a wild slog to Daniels, who hares in from the ropes at long-on, settles under the swirler and completes a straightforward catch. This time she took the pace off the ball to force the batsman to do all the running. Decent knock from Asmavia. 206/8

1.4 to Ayesha Zafar, the off stump has taken a beating! A near-perfect delivery. Nibbles away from length on middle and off, Zafar plays down the wrong line. The ball sneaks through the big gap between bat and pad.. 10/1

8.6 to Javeria Khan, what a strike! Another batsman who plays down the wrong line. This one swings back in gently, hits the deck and then straightens. Javeria prodded outside the line from the crease as the ball shaved past the inside edge to crash into middle and off.. 43/2 41.1 to Kainat Imtiaz, mistimes a slog straight to midwicket. This was a cross-seam length ball that gripped the surface and bounced a little more than Kainat would've liked, hit it off the top part of the bat which meant there was no power behind the stroke. After having been involved in Nahida's run-out, she's thrown it away. Pakistan crumbling. 158/6

17.5 to Bismah Maroof, huge appeal for a stumping and its given by the square leg umpire! Sensational bowling again. Trusts in flighting the ball up - this one though was a little wider outside off stump - the perfect sucker ball. Maroof reaches out, looking for the cover drive, in doing so her back foot drags out of the crease and wicketkeeper does the rest. Sharp work by Chetty too.. 61/3

4 | 0 | 18 | 1 | 4.50 | 12 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
33.3 to Nain Abidi, oh dear, that's a wicket they didn't want to lose. And it's gone in rather poor circumstances. Abidi, races down the track, which isn't wrong against a slow legbreak bowler intent on flighting the ball. But she pulls the trigger too early, which allows Luus to pull her length back and give it a proper rip. The batsman slogs across the line - panicked into it because she couldn't reach the pitch of the ball - misses it altogether and is stumped. 124/4 |

38.3 to CL Tryon, gone! Yousuf roars after she goes right through Tryon, who sees a flighted delivery as reason to slog across the line. She misses, the stumps are in disarray and Pakistan are sensing an upset.. 155/5 44.6 to M du Preez, picks out deep midwicket and Iqbal, the fielder, roars with pure exhilaration! South Africa keep crumbling and this time its du Preez, who picks the right shot to play, backing herself to clear the boundary, but did she need to take that risk after Luus had already got a boundary in this over?. 177/7

25.4 to L Lee, escaped a close shout off the last ball of the previous over, not so lucky this time. Dangerous attempt at sweeping a full ball on the stumps, this didn't spin much and once she missed it, she was always going to be a dead duck. That would've smashed into the middle stump. Relief for Pakistan. 113/1

34.2 to T Chetty, this is a stunning catch at midwicket by Javeria. This was a loopy delivery which dipped on Chetty, who walked across to swing this over the legside boundary, but didn't get to the pitch of the ball and ended up mishitting it. Javeria leapt high, timed her jump to perfection, to pull off that catch. Moments of inspiration like that can lift a side. Are Pakistan onto something here?. 143/3 |
