14.3 to MM Lanning, uncharacteristic shot and Lanning pays the price. Chases after a wide length ball, and gets a very thick edge after missing the connection to the cut. Martin moves to her right, and gently collects the wicket of the Australia captain! Jensen is pumped and deserves a reward for her tidy bowling after an expensive first over. 54/2 | ||||||||||

15.1 to RL Haynes, peach! Uses the around-the-wicket angle sooooo well! Length ball outside off, but the ball nips away instead of angling in with the arm. Haynes tries to work it leg side, but she's played down the wrong line. Ball goes past the outside edge and clips off stump! Tahuhu gives a natural fist pump and Australia are officially in a bit of hot soup. 56/3 44.6 to EA Perry, good shot, but great catch! Maddy Green turns wonder woman as she flies to her left from long on to take a crunch catch in front of the sight screen. Truly a stunner as Perry tried to cream a shot straight over Tahuhu's head, but Green had other ideas. Ran to her left, and when the ball started to dip, she dived full stretch. But what a crucial innings from Perry. 214/5 47.4 to AM King, are they gonna collide?! No....Bates makes herself heard and takes a reverse-cup catch moving to her right from mid off. Tahuhu went full, but importantly took the pace off. King tried to go for a glory-shot of sorts and ended up toe-ending the shot right in the air.. 238/7 | ||||||||||

Came from wide of the crease on this rare occasion, bowling full after jumping wide, and Devine can't manage to get bat on ball despite attempting a flick. 5.2 to AC Kerr, *lifts jaw from floor* And Kerr is gone too. Brown goes full outside off. Bit of swing away from her as she tries to drive. Takes an edge, but the ball stays very low as it goes to the slip cordon. But the lack of height is no problem for Mooney at second slip, who dives to her right, full stretch, and takes a low one-handed catch to send the dangerous Kerr sister back for 1. Sharp grab!. 23/2 7.3 to SW Bates, like a house of cards! Brown and Perry collected the dot balls to build the pressure and now they are earning rewards. Short ball from Brown, but she cranked up the pace, and Bates was not comfortable in her pull. Ball pops up, and McGrath does the rest at midwicket. 24/3 11.1 to FL Mackay, looks plumb, but NZ don't have much to lose, so they review this LBW call. Brown went full on middle and leg, and Mackay's attempted straight drive gets no bat since the ball angles in instead of swinging across. 10.4 to ML Green, From 22 for 0 to 30 for 4! NZ showing very little resistance as Australia continue to simply put the ball in the right areas. Fourth-stump line from McGrath that Green tries to have a push at. Ball doesn't angle in or away, instead holds the line, and Green takes an outside edge to the keeper. 19.5 to KJ Martin, Martin walks! That's plumb. On the front toe as Martin misses a loopy full-toss that dips and hits her right in front. Martin was looking to flick but missed, did not even bother to look at Satterthwaite as she went back. It is umpire's call on hitting but that will do. 73/6 19.6 to HNK Jensen, good catch at cover. Wellington has two in two. Nicely tossed up outside off, Jensen carves it in the air but does not keep it down, McGrath at cover moves sharply to her left to take it two-handed. She comes down the track, chips it, Lanning at extra-cover moves to her left and takes it sliding forward, otherwise the ball was falling right in between her and mid-off.
