6.5 to MJ Guptill, and it's first blood to India! Zaheer lands it on a good length on the middle stump and gets slight movement off the pitch, Guptill wants to defend but gets a thick outside edge, Dravid falls to his left at third slip, fumbles with it initially but takes it in the end in front of second slip. 17/1
8.2 to DR Flynn, nice reflexes from Dhoni, Zaheer slides it just wide of the legstump and Flynn can't resist the temptation to work it down to fine leg, he gets a lot of wood on it and it's obvious to Taufel as he lifts his finger straightaway, Dhoni follows the movement early and gloves it easily. 17/2
19.247343.778410000
16.2 to TG McIntosh, that's the third catch behind the wicket this morning, Ishant bowls it much fuller and gets it to angle across the left hander, McIntosh had to play at it but he fails to cover the line and the thick edge goes low to Sehwag at gully, he cups it with both hands comfortably in front of his body and makes up for his lapse early on. 40/3
20.4 to LRPL Taylor, India are on the kill this morning, Ishant squares him up with the same inward movement and this one jags back in off the pitch, Taylor gets across to cover the movement but the ball skids through off a fullish length, clips his pads and flattens the offstump. 51/4
20.6 to JEC Franklin, very unfortunate for Franklin and he can blame the umpiring for that, Ishant angles the ball across him and he tries to get his bat across to defend and there's a sound before reaching the keeper, the decision is give and Franklin doesn't look too happy with Taufel's verdict, Hot Spot shows the ball clipping the pad and not the bat. 51/5
78.2 to JD Ryder, tries to repeat the pull but he fails to get on top of the bounce and ends up tamely top edging it to Laxman at mid-on, no elevation in that shot. 279/10
1846033.33767000
23.1 to BB McCullum, and NZ slide further! McCullum has himself to blame for a wrong choice of shot, he pushes hard at a delivery angling away from him off a good length and gives Laxman catching practice at second slip, now all seamers are among the wickets. 60/6
70.2 to DL Vettori, gone, relief for India but the end of an excellent innings, slightly short on middle, jagged back in just a touch, Vettori tried to dab that into the leg side, got a faint inside edge and Dhoni dived full length to his right to snap a sharp catch. 246/7
70.3 to KD Mills, timber! A lethal yorker bowled at 140 kmph on the off and Mills fails to bring his bat down in time, he didn't expect that first up and can only watch the stumps take a battering. 246/8
2275712.591007000
77.1 to IE O'Brien, not the smartest thing to do with your partner on 98, he suddenly decides to give the bowler the charge and Harbhajan drops the ball short, he then hangs his bat out to defend but the ball beats him and Dhoni does the rest, O'Brien will probably hide in a dark room somewhere...why? Because the next man in is Chris Martin. Can't wait to hear Iain's description of this wicket! Blog on..... 275/9

41.4 to G Gambhir, and New Zealand are a relieved bunch! The hint of reverse swing does the trick, the ball drifts in first and then slightly moves away, Gambhir tries to scoop it square over the offside but the ball flies off the edge to McCullum. 142/2
81.2 to VVS Laxman, the new ball does the trick! Martin lands it outside off the ball holds its line, Laxman very lazily reaches out and pokes at the ball, the outside edge travels quickly to first slip and Taylor catches it as he falls to his left. 238/4
97.3 to Yuvraj Singh, that's a poor leave and he looks back to see his bails splattered on the turf, Martin really gets this one to bend back in from round the wicket and Yuvraj nonchalantly shoulders arms, the ball knocks the offstump back. 314/5
2249814.459617005
140.4 to Harbhajan Singh, Dan sets a fine example! It was full outside off and deserving to be spanked, Harbhajan scoops it and tries to beat mid-off but the ball drifts away from Vettori but he follows the ball, falls to his left and takes it with both hands. 457/8
33710333.1215316000
53.2 to R Dravid, O'Brien will be gushing about this dismissal when he blogs tonight! Super delivery which nips back in off the seam and squares up Dravid, the ball sneaks through the daylight between bat and pad and flattens the offstump, O'Brien's earned this. 177/3
133.4 to MS Dhoni, Dhoni walks, he tries to hook a short delivery down the leg side and gets a bit of glove on it, McCullum goes up and Dhoni doesn't even look back at Taufel. 429/6
137.6 to SR Tendulkar, and O'Brien ends Tendulkar's magical stint with a rip snorter! It kicks up outside the offstump and fizzes past his body and he hops at the crease and tries to work it to the on side, the ball clips the top half of the bat and flies to Taylor at first slip, O'Brien will have something to write about tonight! Watch this space, let's call it a blogacious delivery. 443/7
2319804.269314000
35.489022.521659103
146.3 to I Sharma, no doubt about that one, Ishant rocks back aiming to cut square off a delivery which turns a bit, he gets a thick edge and McCullum takes it easily. 492/9
152.4 to MM Patel, he goes for another signature one-handed sweep but this time he gets a lot off elevation on it and Martin makes no mistake at fine leg, that ends the innings at 520. 520/10

0.3 to TG McIntosh, Tendulkar takes it very low at first slip and he's hurt his finger, McIntosh fails to dig out a full delivery and the ball clips the top of the bat and travels low to Tendulkar at first slip who falls forward and appears to take it an inch off the ground, now he releases the ball after the dive and for a split second we aren't sure if he took it cleanly, McIntosh isn't sure either and he waits but Gould was convinced, replays aren't dead accurate and he MAY have got his fingers underneath the ball, I repeat, MAY. It's a tough one, I must admit. Tendulkar started celebrating immediately , Perhaps McIntosh could have stood his ground with more conviction. 0/1

30.6 to KD Mills, final ball of the day and Mills cannot survive to tell the tale! Munaf gets it swing back in late and catch Mills on the base of the pad, his bat isn't too far away but everybody including Ian Gould knew it was pad first and that's plumb, really Munaf deserves this wicket after setting him up with yorkers at the start of the over, good captaincy move by Dhoni. 75/3
43.3 to LRPL Taylor, slashed and straight to Sehwag at gully! Munaf gets a bit of extra bounce outside off and an under-pressure Taylor cannot resist a slash, the ball flies to gully's right and Sehwag takes the catch side-on with both hands, Taylor can't believe what he's done as he trudges back. 110/4
2826362.251287000
25.3 to MJ Guptill, Guptill's given it away I'm afraid, Harbhajan dishes out a half volley on the offstump but Guptill makes the mistake of scooping it instead of driving along the ground, Sehwag moves to his left and takes the catch fairly easily falling falling to his left. 68/2
51.2 to JD Ryder, that was absolutely plumb! Harbhajan lands it on middle and off and the ball straightens a bit after pitching, there wasn't much pace on the ball and Ryder was a little slow in getting his bat behind the line, the ball clips his back pad right in front of the stumps, easy one for Taufel. 132/5
63.5 to JEC Franklin, that's a very tame dismissal, Franklin reaches out to a flighted delivery outside off and the ball balloons off the top of the bat, Munaf takes a very easy catch at point in front of his face. 154/6
65.6 to DR Flynn, unfortunate for Flynn after all the hours of concentration, the ball lands on middle and leg and Flynn commits to the front foot, he defends away from the line of the ball and gets a thin inside edge onto the pad and it's a straightforward catch to Gambhir at forward short-leg. 161/7
77.5 to DL Vettori, Harbhajan takes five! He cramps him up for room and the ball nearly squeezes through the gap between bat and pad, he gets a thin inside edge and Dhoni snaps it up, he was close to being bowled as well. 199/8
101.4 to IE O'Brien, and finally O'Brien's resistance ends! Tosses it up on middle and off and he gets a half stride forward, all the Indians including Laxman, the catcher at silly point, reckoned there were two sounds and Taufel didn't take too much time to decide. 275/9
7.321111.46381000
102.3 to BB McCullum, goes for one shot too many! Yuvraj fires it quicker and McCullum tries to repeat the on-side hoick but he gets a thick top edge which swirls to Laxman at short fine-leg. 279/10
