116.6 to Muralitharan, smart catch! The fun ends for Murali, it was brief and not too painful, he flays the bat at a short ball that rises up and McCullum leaps up and does really well to hold onto the thick edge that was traveling high to his right 452/9

9.6 to Guptill, well what do you know? After a lovely caress through midwicket Guptill perishes to a loose shot, looking to get up and pull a shorter ball in front of square but succeeding in only dragging it back onto the base of his stumps 45/1

108.6 to O'Brien, wicket No. 100 in Galle for Murali! He strikes with the doosra that goes on, O'Brien is tentative with the footwork and pokes at it and Prasanna does very well to take the thin edge, he's such a smooth operator behind the stumps 290/9

3.5 to Paranavitana, edged and taken! Paranavitana's poor match continues against a gem of a ball that pitches just about back of a length from around the stumps, then leaves him as he pushes at it off the back foot and the thick edge is taken by Taylor to his right at first slip 19/1

41.3 to Samaraweera, clears the front leg and swings across the line, having to fetch the ball from against the spin and that does him in, the ball balloons up with the top edge and Taylor follows it from slip and takes the catch near short fine leg, actually more to Young's left side 205/4

36.6 to DPMD Jayawardene, gone! Patel gets his first wicket of the match as Jayawardene reaches out in front his pad and turns the ball across the drift and gives the bowler catching practice 174/3

0.5 to Flynn, super catch from Jayawardene at second slip! Kulasekara hits a good length and moves the ball away from Flynn who feels for it away from the body slightly and the outside edge is plucked up by Jayawardene with his right hand inches above the grass 1/1

18.1 to Guptill, oh good ball! The decision to change the angle works a charm as Thushara pitches it just short of a good length and the natural angle brings it back, squares up Guptill and clips the top of off stump, the late movement doing the trick 37/2

20.2 to McIntosh, beauty of a catch at third slip and its given! Thushara bangs it in short of a length and McIntosh feels for it as it angles across sharply, gets a thick outside edge that flies hard and low to Samaraweera at third slip who reacts superbly to cup the ball to his left as it dies on him, he just gets the fingers underneath it between the legs and celebrates, the umpires go upstairs to confirm and after a few minutes confirmation comes in that it was indeed a clean catch 39/3

50.5 to Ryder, good ball, good take! Murali delivers the suckerpunch to get Ryder, tosses the ball up into the rough outside off stump and gets sharp turn away from the bat, Ryder is lured forward and the outside edge is superbly taken by Prasanna 134/6
