6.2 to BJ Watling, first breakthrough and Anderson gets Watling again, it was full on off and nipping away a touch, Watling didn't get as far forward as he needed to and ended up getting a thick edge which is safely pouched at first slip by the England skipper. 12/1 8.6 to HD Rutherford, another catch for Cook as Rutherford departs, tried to lift a good length ball over short mid-off but the ball wasn't there to loft and Cook leaps high to snaffle it with both hands. 19/2 46.5 to NL McCullum, full outside off and he goes after it, gets a thick edge into the gloves of the keeper. Will New Zealand bat their overs?. 254/7 48.2 to LRPL Taylor, Taylor goes and England have recovered well after the McCullum onslaught, short outside off and moved back in a touch, cramped for room as he tried to cut and could only get a thick edge through to Buttler. 267/9 48.5 to TA Boult, and I've jinxed him as Anderson completes an excellent five-for, Boult slices a full ball down to long-on and New Zealand leave seven balls unused. 269/10
10 | 1 | 33 | 1 | 3.30 | 42 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
35.6 to GD Elliott, superb first Powerplay over for England ends in a wicket as Elliott top-edges his pull straight into Bairstow's mitts at deep fine leg. 143/4
10 | 0 | 68 | 3 | 6.80 | 29 | 9 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
25.4 to KS Williamson, one move across too many for Williamson, pushed wide of off and Williamson tries to drag a pull through midwicket but ends up dragging it onto leg stump. 91/3 45.6 to JEC Franklin, slower bouncer on leg which cuts towards off and Franklin waits and waits before top-edging the attempted hook into the safe hands of - you guessed it, Root - at deep backward square. 245/6 47.4 to TG Southee, cleanes out Southee with a pinpoint yorker on middle stump, Southee's swish is nowhere near the ball and New Zealand are in danger of being bowled out. 261/8
9 | 0 | 69 | 1 | 7.66 | 23 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | |
44.5 to BB McCullum, McCullum's blistering blaze of boundaries is finally cut off as Woakes holds on down at long-on after McCullum sliced an attempted heave over cow corner, end of a knock which has put his side right back into the game. 243/5

31.5 to AN Cook, that's the third batsman I've jinxed tonight as Cook is surprised by a full toss on middle and gets a leading edge back to Southee as he tried to tuck it away to leg, end of a good knock though. 149/2

19.5 to IR Bell, Kane Williamson repays the skipper's faith with the big wicket of Bell, who top-edges the slog sweep out towards the boundary at square leg where Rutherford is in place to take a well-judged catch having run round from deep backward. 89/1 |
