4.2 to M Vijay, tighter line, plays at this one and nicked to first slip! Anderson punches the air, it's much better to see the ball do the talking, fabulous delivery, that seductive curve in and away, Vijay has been very good at leaving Anderson but he was sucked into this one, thick edge and a comfortable take. 8/2 4.4 to V Kohli, gottim, regulation outswinger and Kohli tickles it to Cook again! Two in three balls, Anderson has found his groove! Again the batsman's hands were magnetised to the ball, Kohli is so out of nick his best hope was to miss it but it flicked the edge and continued its delightful arc towards a delighted England captain standing at first slip. 8/3 26.3 to RA Jadeja, duck, duck, GOOSE! Perfect set-up from Anderson, the inswinger to follow two going away and Jadeja is gone, pinned in front! Anderson looks as if he is about to burst a blood vessel, so impassioned is his celebration... Super line, similar to Jadeja's first-innings dismissal at the Ageas Bowl, pitching on leg and going straight on. 63/6

3.1 to G Gambhir, length ball on off, Gambhir pushes... and fends to gully! There was certainly good bounce for Broad there, climbed sharply and Gambhir's return is a brief one. Looked initially as if the ball would swing in, the batsman aiming to close the face and play to leg again, seamed just enough to force the error and a thick edge flew to the fielder. 8/1 5.1 to CA Pujara, drawn into playing, superb take by Jordan diving to his right - India are four down and still in single figures! Broad has his second, thanks to a blinder from Jordan, Pujara might have though he managed to keep the edge down but he's ruefully heading off, joining the procession. 8/4 40.2 to R Ashwin, He's been out to the pull before, and he's out to the pull once more. It was banged in by Broad, and he was hurried into the shot, and ended up unable to get over the ball. Bat turned in his hand and the ball flew way up in the air and down into the throat of Robson coming in from deep square leg. 129/7 42.2 to B Kumar, what have you done, Bhuvneshwar Kumar? That was angled in from Broad, and the batsman had no idea where his off stump was. He had no idea where his middle stump was, in fact, and it crashes into the top of that particular pole as he elects to leave the ball. Was he leaving on length? If so, it was way too full for that. It did come back in off the pitch as well, to be fair. 137/8 46.1 to MS Dhoni, he's picked out the fielder! That was full, outside off, and he looked to slog over midwicket, I think. Dragged the shot much much squarer than he wanted to, and it dropped into Jordan's hands at deep backward square leg. 152/9 46.4 to Pankaj Singh, steps away away from the stumps once again and this time doesn't connect with that big hoick. The ball crashes into the top of off stump and Broad has a six-for. 152/10

23.2 to AM Rahane, and he's gone! Rahane certainly didn't have to play at this one, but he chose to try and drive with an angled bat, and he gets a thick outside edge after it curls away, into the safe hands of Bell at second slip, at a nice, comfortable height. 62/5 |

8.6 to SD Robson, bowled him, wicked inswinger to hit off stump as Robson played no stroke! Pythagoras would have been proud of those angles, Bhuvnesh hooping the ball in a mile after a succession of deliveries shaping away from the right-hander. Robson planted the front foot, no desire to play at it, his composure only rattled by the clatter behind him. 21/1 41.4 to CJ Jordan, breakthrough! Superb catch. And it's a short ball. Told you it wouldn't work. Jordan went for the pull, didn't quite keep the ball and Aaron moved low to his right at midwicket to snaffle an excellent take. 136/4 43.4 to IR Bell, takes the edge this time! Wonderful bowling and a huge wicket. In the channel outside off, Bell felt he had to play when he probably could have left alone and it grazes the outside edge through to Dhoni. 140/5

92.2 to JE Root, given, and Pankaj has a Test wicket and a massive smile! That was short, heading down the leg side, and Root tries to glance, and doesn't get bat to it. Did he get some glove on it on its way to the keeper? Root doesn't seem to think so, judging by his body language as he leaves the field, but the umpire certainly did. Snicko gets excited as it passes his gloves. 304/7 96.4 to JC Buttler, another uppish drive, and Pankaj has another wicket! That's full, outside off, and he doesn't quite get to the pitch and scoops it straight into mid-off's hands. That was a slower ball, bowled with the offcutter action. It was definitely much slower, at 116.2 kph, and clearly deceived Buttler. 325/8

13.1 to AN Cook, short ball from Aaron, done for pace again and pulled to deep backward square! There's a scream of delight from Aaron, he's removed England's captain playing one of his favourite shots... Reminiscent of the winter and England's struggles against Mitchell Johnson, just hurried Cook's cross-batted stroke and he couldn't control it. 36/2 34.3 to GS Ballance, given! That was angled in, full, and Ballance is struck on the front pad as he pressed forward. It hit him in front of off stump and looked fairly straight, so it's fairly uncontroversial as far as I can tell. 113/3 52.2 to MM Ali, bowled 'im! That was full and fast and it swung sharply into Moeen and split the gap between bat and pad to crash into the stumps. Moeen was hurried into his shot again, and was trying to play that with the swing towards midwicket with a closed bat-face. 170/6

105.3 to JM Anderson, straight from Jadeja. Anderson was looking to work that into the leg side. Walked across the stumps, was rapped on the pads, and Rod Tucker gave him out lbw.. 367/9 |

20.6 to G Gambhir, short ball, balloony bounce, gloved down the leg side. Should have left it. 53/2 24.4 to V Kohli, full, good line, Kohli pushes forward again, nicks to Bell at second slip. Anderson has him again. Kohli pushed at that again, looked eager to try and hit the ball, just good areas from Anderson. 61/5

10.5 to M Vijay, full and angled in, beats the inside edge, big appeal for lbw and given out! Looks pretty good from the first replay and Hawk Eye has it bang on, hitting in line just above the knee roll and going on to hit middle and leg stumps. Woakes finally has another Test wicket, it slid in a little to get past the batsman's defence. 26/1

42.5 to VR Aaron, short ball, in at the batsman, who can only fend. Off the glove to Buttler. No. 10 baysman can't do too much about that. This game's almost over. 161/9 42.6 to Pankaj Singh, one ball. Full and straight, game's over. Think India were certainly struggling if they were hoping Pankaj Singh was going to save the game for them. A terrible evening session for India, and a lot to think about. 161/10

21.1 to CA Pujara, given him. full length, bit of offspin, big stride from Pujara, who's disappointed as he walks off. It looked pretty straight, but he did get a big stride in. Had to be some doubt, but could well be clipping. Ball definitely turned. If only India could have got a decent first-innings score. As I thought, with such a big stride, ball turning, replays show the ball missing the leg stump and going over. 53/3 23.5 to AM Rahane, full length, driven, caught and bowled. Good catch in front of the stumps. Rahane aiming towards wide mid-off, the ball spinning and forcing the drive back to the bowler. 61/4 25.4 to RA Jadeja, pushes forward, ball spins, caught at slip. Beautiful bowling from Ali. Only looked a matter of time, the way Jadeja was playing. Simple catch for Jordan. What is happening to India?. 66/6 33.1 to MS Dhoni, down the pitch, looks to go over the top, can only drag it to midwicket, where Ballance takes a very good catch, diving to his right. 105/7 |
