0.1 to TC Smith, around the wicket, darted in on the angle and hits the pads, up goes the finger, Tom Smith is gone first ball of the innings! Diamond duck for Lancashire's opener, Will Smith is engulfed by his team-mates in celebration. Looked to be hitting middle and leg - Hants' Smith is better than Lancs' Smith!. 0/1 10.1 to KR Brown, pushed through, big swing and Brown drags on! Not much foot movement, trying to heave a ball through leg from outside off and only managed to deflect it on to off stump. 72/3 10.4 to JC Buttler, on the stumps, straight delivery and there's a big appeal as Buttler tries to reverse sweep... Did he hit it? No, decides umpire Neil Mallender, up goes the finger! He was right in front but replays suggest he got a bottom edge on to his back pad. 74/4

1.2 to UT Khawaja, in the channel, Khawaja attacks - and nicks to slip! Second wicket falls in the second over, Wood strikes, Hants have grabbed a hold of proceedings already. Maybe just nibbled away from the bat as Khawaja went hard at it. 3/2

2.2 to MA Carberry, straighter line, slapped straight to mid-on! And Hampshire have lost both their openers in a disastrous start. We're checking the no-ball, surely the spinner hasn't bowled a no-ball?! No he hasn't, very comfortable and Carberry is on his way. Trying to slug one over the top, he picked out Smith at mid-on and two huge wickets have fallen very cheaply at the start of this chase now. 11/2 6.2 to WR Smith, a step down the wicket, Smith is beaten down the leg side and miles out of his ground, Buttler whips off the bails but did he drop the ball? He did drop the ball but luckily for him, he dropped the ball onto the stumps, his gloves missed the stumps and Buttler, one way or another, completes the stumping. 38/4
3 | 0 | 24 | 2 | 8.00 | 7 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
1.4 to JM Vince, full length on off stump, firmly driven and Vince finds cover! Nightmare start for Hampshire, Vince trying to thread this through the off side has chipped a simple catch straight to the fielder, innocuous delivery and it takes the opening wicket. 11/1 13.5 to JHK Adams, slower, 75mph, on the stumps, Adams aiming leg side swings into the long boundary but doesn't get enough of it and picks out deep midwicket. Adams has played nicely but it's been only him contributing, he eventually holes out, easy catch in the deep. 100/9
2 | 0 | 15 | 1 | 7.50 | 6 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
11.2 to AJA Wheater, length ball on off stump, Wheater is sort of aiming leg side but just chips a catch to midwicket. Another very soft dismissal and Hampshire are sinking fast. No kind of desirable connection and it floated straight to the Lancs skipper. 77/7
3 | 0 | 22 | 2 | 7.33 | 4 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
5.3 to OA Shah, backing away, Shah runs out of room trying to cut and loses his leg stump. It was nowhere near short enough for the cut, a terrible choice of stroke, Shah got nowhere near it and the ball skidded onto his timbers, Hampshire tottering here. 34/3 9.3 to MT Coles, back foot, hard press up the wicket and taken by the bowler! And that completes a miserable day for Matt Coles, his over went for 50 and now a golden duck! Going back to force down the ground, Parry reaches to his right with two hands and claims the chance easily. 63/6
3 | 0 | 28 | 2 | 9.33 | 5 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
8.5 to SM Ervine, full outside off, Ervine goes to chop it away and finds point. Another nail in Hampshire's coffin. Reaching out for this, Ervine made a decent connection but at head height and straight to point. 58/5 12.3 to LA Dawson, full and wide of off stump, Dawson reaches way out for it and nicks to Buttler. Thin edge, a simple catch for Buttler and Lancashire move a step closer to the final. 90/8

14.1 to CP Wood, full just outside off, Wood slaps hard and finds mid-off!. That will do for Lancashire, another catch in the ring, a mistimed drive, chipped straight to the fielder and the Red Rose captain has taken the winnings catch. 101/10 |
