44.2 to AB de Villiers, holes out to deep midwicket, AB is gone, I repeat, AB is gone! Milne pitched it short, AB pulled but didn't middle it again and it was an easy catch for Latham in the deep, even though he was a few yards in. 252/3 44.6 to HM Amla, 142kph, tries the block hole, gets the wicket and Amla gone too! It was pretty straight on the off stump, Amla opened up to find the gap on the off side but only got a thin edge, there was some reverse swing, before the ball knocked the bottom of middle stump. 258/4
10 | 1 | 72 | 2 | 7.20 | 32 | 6 | 4 | 1 | 0 | |
8.4 to MN van Wyk, oh, what a change of strategy, gets van Wyk! MM bangs it in short outside off and it's coming in with the angle, that forces van Wyk to play even though he wants to leave. But he withdraws a bit too late and the ball goes off the edge to fly slip. Easy catch for McCullum. 46/1 41.5 to RR Rossouw, tries the yorker again, no need to appeal this time as the leg stump is uprooted. He's broken it actually! The angle might have made RR uncomfortable, cramping him for room, and he missed the yorker, and the ball got the bottom of leg stump. 231/2

47.6 to DA Miller, finally a catch has been taken, Miller falls too! There was room on off, it was an offcutter, Miller swished at it to find backward point. 286/5

0.6 to L Ronchi, gone this time, though. What a start this. Another gem of a delivery. In the corridor, moving away from Ronchi who can't do much with that other than poke at it. He gets a thick outside edge, and Amla at first slip takes a good, low catch. The umpires want to check if it has carried though. It has and he is gone. 3/1 47.6 to MJ McClenaghan, gone this time. Cleaned him up. Cross seamed delivery on off stump on a fuller length, MM makes room to try and drive over cover. But misses. The off stump is broken and NZ are 9 down. Very interesting shot.. 283/9

29.3 to GD Elliott, the slip comes in action, takes a good catch and that's the big wicket of Elliott! It was a touch back of length outside off, there was good bounce as Elliott looked to guide it to third man but only found Miller. They check for the no ball and there's some part of the heel behind the line. 156/4 29.5 to TWM Latham, another one, Philander removes the well-set Latham! The batsman shuffled across a bit, Philander pitched it on length on middle and the ball was nipping in, struck him right in front of the stumps and the finger went up, looked plumb. 158/5

44.6 to NL McCullum, what a catch Behardien. Stunning catch in the deep. Scintillating stuff. Short ball on middle and off stump, McCullum goes for the pull and executes half-decently. McCullum doesn't bother keeping it down though. Behardien runs around from square leg towards fine leg and completes a really really good catch.. 251/8

22.2 to KS Williamson, KW's gone, handed a catch to cover! He danced down the track after missing out on the full toss, timed the shot very well by taking it on the full, unleashed an inside-out drive but could not strike it over Elgar, who had to jump just a bit to grab it over his head with both hands. 107/2 43.1 to C Munro, 98 kph, get him this time. Another massive wicket. Wonderful bowling. Tahir flights the ball with no spin which dips very late on Munro and importantly, it is straight. Munro decides to reverse sweep or switch hit. He misses it altogether and is absolutely plumb. Easy decision for the umpire. 243/7
7 | 0 | 63 | 2 | 9.00 | 12 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
27.6 to MJ Guptill, Wiese has turned it around on debut, takes the wicket of Guptill after two fours! It was a slower offcutter, pretty full around off and the batsman lofted it down, probably seeing the length, but only found the safe hands of Miller at long-on. He was a few yards inside the boundary. 148/3 40.4 to JDS Neesham, gone, what a massive wicket for SA. Neesham is gone. Wiese does the trick. Very clever slower bouncer on off stump, Neesham is through the shot much too early and gets a thick top edge which is joyously accepted by van Wyk. Cannot stress the importance of that wicket enough with respect to the match.. 229/6
