21.2 to M Vijay, unplayable delivery. 142 kph. Morkel does it with a terrific delivery. Pitches on a fullish length and swing away just a little, Vijay looks to play through the leg side but misses and is struck right in front of middle. Absolutely plumb. Just reward for an excellent spell from Morkel, albeit just 8 balls.. 69/2
37.2 to AM Rahane, what a delivery! What a comeback. What variation. Set him up with that previous delivery, gets this one to jag back in and cuts Rahane in half who plays a very loose drive. Takes a bit of pad on the way to removing off stump from the ground. Kept pushing deliveries away from the batsmen and now gets some prodigious inswing to rattle the stumps.. 115/4
39.2 to V Kohli, Morkel has done it finally to Kohli. Gets the ball to pitch and move away from Kohli who can't do anything but get a thin feather to Vilas. That plan has worked yet again. All credit to the SA think tank. Stuck to their guns despite the amount of turn. And Morkel has more reward, a discernible effort to bowl fuller too. Just a hint of away movement claims that wicket. 116/5
1783011.76903020
63.6 to RA Jadeja, huge wicket this. Rabada is pumped and why not? Fullish length and wide, Jadeja clears one foot and looks to cream a drive through the cover but hasn't learnt from the previous deliveries where the ball has seamed back in regularly. This one is no different and takes that inside edge and then onto the stumps.. 173/7
27.227842.851195200
30.1 to CA Pujara, absolutely plumb if he did not get bat on that. And the umpire raises the finger. Dead in front. Short on off and the ball spins towards middle and leg. Pujara plays back and is struck in front of middle. But did he get an inside edge? replays are inconclusive. He has to walk off though. Tried to play that late but the ball spun well past his inside egde. 94/3
46.2 to RG Sharma, massive edge and Rohit has to go. There is that bat-pad dismissal. Loopy delivery on leg, Rohit plays outside the line and the ball has been spinning all day, and continues to do so. Takes the inside edge and then on to pad and then lobs up, AB comes in from leg slip and takes it. Classical offspinners dismissal on a turning pitch. He did not look happy but there was a massive edge. 125/6
72.6 to WP Saha, what a catch from JP Duminy. Just when it was looking like SA were down, Duminy does that. Tossed up again on middle, after 105 balls of concentration, Saha runs down and plays a loose flick to midwicket. Duminy runs to his left and takes a wonderful catch, even as the ball looked like it had passed him.. 201/8
78.2 to A Mishra, and he is given! Flatter on middle and Mishra hangs back and is struck right in front, but where did that pitch? Doesn't matter because Umpire Gould is quick to signal the end of the innings. Not a bad wicket for India, they will have nine overs to bowl at a tentative SA top order. 215/10
40711.75170000
13.6 to S Dhawan, and again, there is that wicket. Dhawan comes down and looks to drive but the ball pitches, spins and takes the inside half of the bat and Dhawan can only skew a lob straight back at Elgar who takes a good diving catch in front of the stumps. Only a matter of time before that came, there is just too much turn in this wicket. A puff of dust exploded too as that pitched.. 50/1
12.514113.19514000
77.6 to R Ashwin, this time he gets through. The googly this time does the trick. Ashwin wants to play against the turn again but the ball goes through that gap between bat and pad and takes out off stump. Important wicket for SA but they may have to play out an awkward session now.. 215/9

3.1 to S van Zyl, and there is the first! Ashwin strikes. And he has struck relatively early in this session. Fullish length on off, van Zyl looks to defend but gets a thick outside edge which easily carries to Rahane at first slip. Nicely bowled, pitched and that one spun. 4/1
9.5 to D Elgar, the worst ball gets the wicket! India have started excellently well. An inducker wide outside off, Elgar's eye light up seeing the width on offer and he goes for an expansive cut but the ball cuts back in and takes the inside edge. Not the way I saw the first wicket falling but Elgar has chopped on. 11/3
11.1 to HM Amla, Amla has to go now. Wickets are falling faster than runs are coming at the moment. Good length delivery outside off, Amla goes down early for the sweep but is through the shot too early. The ball hits his arm and then as the bat finishes its swing, the ball hits the back of the bat near the toe end, and lobs up. It bounces off the keeper's shoulder and pops up tamely for Rahane at first slip. Amla tucks his bat under his armpit and walks off, doesn't wait for the umpire to raise the finger. Surprising to see Amla not adjusting to the pace of the pitch, the ball just has not come on to the bat as the batsmen have expected. 12/4
27.2 to SR Harmer, carrom ball down leg, what is happening here? Flat down leg but Harmer looks to play this towards the leg side but the ball spins in to him and hits his leg and then onto the stumps. Came on very slowly there. Not a great delivery but with the pitch doing everything, reward is there to be reaped. 66/8
33.1 to M Morkel, leading edge and taken by Ashwin! Another five-for for Ashwin. Tossed up on off, a bit of spin and Morkel looks to play against the spin, off the outside half and Ashwin does not have much to do to take the catch. He does so quite well and this is the lowest total India have bowled a side out for.. 79/10
1233342.75572200
6.5 to Imran Tahir, all at sea and Tahir is cleaned up. Pitches on middle and spins a touch with the angle, takes out off stump. Not much turn but he is a tailender for a reason. Misses completely. And the off stump is taken out.. 9/2
12.3 to AB de Villiers, it's all falling apart, shorter length delivery outside off, AB goes back and tries to work this into the leg side, but the ball stops in the pitch and turns a mile, AB in the form that he is in, gets close enough to the ball to get a leading edge, the ball spoons up in the air towards short mid-on. Jadeja runs around and takes it and India are ecstatic. The big fish has to go.. 12/5
16.6 to F du Plessis, played for turn but none was there. I'd say that was a decent shot, but this one saw no turn and the ball sneaks through and removes off stump. Went for a huge shot down the ground after it was pitched on a good length, Faf saw the opportunity to score some runs and went for it, backed himself but this one hit the pitch and hardly turned. SA in disarray. 35/6
22.2 to DJ Vilas, unplayable delivery! Just nothing can be done about that. Flat on leg, but just a fraction short, allowing the ball more time to spin. And it does just that. Rips past to off stump. Vilas correctly played the line of middle stump but was beaten on the outside edge and the ball clatters into the stumps. Impossible to play these.. 47/7
30913.00131000
32.1 to JP Duminy, given this time. Tossed up outside off, JP misjudges the length and goes back to play but the ball spins and he eventually comes forward from deep inside the crease. But did that hit him outside the line? No, says the umpire and SA are now nine down. JP's enterprising stay ends, but SA in serious trouble. 76/9

4.2 to M Vijay, gone, Vijay has to go. SA have struck immediately after lunch. Big wicket too. What a way to go this. Slower offcutter again outside off, ends up as a half-volley. Vijay tries to guide this to third man but the ball bounces a touch and he edges low to Amla at slip who takes a good catch to low to his left. Almost steered that to slip.. 8/1
41.4 to R Ashwin, given! Looked plumb as soon as it hit him. A bit of banter with the SA team as he walks off, swings back in late and strikes Ashwin right in front of off stump. Another easy decision. Wonderful bowling, took the previous delivery away slightly and now brings this back in sharply. Full and fast, reverse swing. 150/8
45.4 to RG Sharma, gone, soft dismissal. Rohit plays at that too early, again a batsman plays at a ball way too early. very slow wicket and the ball stops on Rohit but he looks to flick and the ball spoons up in the air off the outer half of the bat, towards Elgar at mid-on. 171/9
1836413.55756100
35.3 to RA Jadeja, chopped on to the stumps. Shortish delivery outside off, Jadeja goes back and looks to cut but the ball doesn't spin as much and carries on with the arm, Jadeja is cramped for room and his insdie edge clatters into the stumps. 128/7
511503.00253001
2024112.0055001
17.3 to CA Pujara, oh, he is gone! JP bounces back with a ripper. Nothing can be done from a batsman's point of view. Absolutely no turn. Tossed up on leg, the ball drifts on and on and clips the off stump after beating the outside edge. JP does not have much of a reaction, but SA are happy.. 52/2
11.323853.30505001
26.5 to S Dhawan, Dhawan goes. Tahir strikes. He sticks to his cross-batted strokes, but this time he has to pay for it. Tossed up from over the wicket outside off, Dhawan goes to reverse sweep and gets a feather to Vilas who takes it cleanly. Good catch. After all the hardwork, Dhawan throws it away. Amla calls for a huddle. 97/3
28.1 to V Kohli, what a shot from Kohli. Looking to be positive against Tahir but Kohli perishes. The bat turned in his hands and he has lofted a drive straight to long-off. Not a great shot, simply because he was in total control during that innings. Tossed up outside off, the ball pitches and takes the customary part of the pitch with it, and it skews off the outside half of the bat, high in the air. Faf settles under it and takes it. 102/4
30.3 to AM Rahane, Tahir gets another! Loose shot but the shot was probably there to play, the pitch's bounce may have accounted for him. Googly outside off, Rahane goes for the exuberant drive but the ball lobs up off the outside half of the bat towards short third man. Duminy dives in front and claims a fine catch. 108/5
34.1 to WP Saha, what happened there? Did that go off the boot? Did that hit the bat? It lobbed off something to Amla at slip. The umpires get together and for to the third umpire. No soft signal. Check for a bump ball. Off the glove and then onto Vilas' boot and straight up. Saha looks to play a fine paddle sweep but it takes the glove and then an unassuming Vilas lobs it up off his right boot. Amla completes the catch. What a way to go. Saha has to go. tahir has four now. Saha tries to paddle that with a closed bat face, like he did many times in the first innings but the ball spun and gripped and took that glove inside the bat. Poor shot. Wasn't even a hard sweep and on a slow wicket, to get pace on such a fine paddle is arduous.. 122/6
46.3 to A Mishra, tahir gets a five-for. He is ecstatic. Flat, quick delivery on middle stump, skids on to Mishra who is very late on the shot, the ball sneaks through and clatters into middle and leg stump. Tahir's second five-for. 173/10

7.4 to S van Zyl, oh no, loose shot. He will not be happy at all. Nicely tossed up from Ashwin, enticing a drive and van Zyl obliges, goes for it but hits it in the air and straight to short cover. After playing out several good balls, he loosely wafts at a playable delivery. 17/1
17.5 to D Elgar, how is he out? Slider on middle, Elgar comes forward and prods yet again but he gets a thick inside edge on to his pad and then just lobs up for silly point to take. Struck him in front of middle so no edge and that could have been lbw as well. The umpire gives him and India have their first of the day, Elgar does not want to go but that was a huge inside edge. Has to make his way off. 40/3
23.4 to AB de Villiers, absolutely plumb. No doubt about the decision, was that the carrom ball? very well done from Ashwin, he has deceived a terrific batsman at the peak of his abilities. pitches on off, moves a hint away from AB who does not pick it and is struck right in front of middle and off. Easy decision for the umpire. 58/4
81.1 to JP Duminy, and Duminy has to go. Slid straight on and Duminy did not offer a shot, the ball goes on with the arm and strikes Duminy in front of off and middle. The umpire is quick to raise his finger and with that, any hopes of a SA comeback. Regulation offbreak which did not turn. But with a new ball, that happens, did Duminy misjudge that completely? Doesn't matter, he is gone. 164/7
81.6 to DJ Vilas, given! Another five-for for ashwin, Ashwin has 10 in the game, was there some glove on it? There may have been just a tiny deflection. The umpire thinks and thinks and then raises the finger. Shortish on middle, Vilas plays outside the line but the ball spins down leg and takes a bit of glove, great take by Saha and SA are now 8 down. 167/8
87.4 to K Rabada, edged and gone this time. Kohli is happy, he has taken one. Full delivery on off, a hint of turn which is enough to take the outside edge of Rabada's bat. Kohli at gully takes it in front of his stomach.. 177/9
89.5 to M Morkel, bowled im. Ashwin gets seven. And India take the series. SA's nine-year record ends. May have been the carrom ball or the slider but the ball drifts on and snakes through the gap between bat and pad to clatter into leg stump. Morkel did not pick that. India complete a 124-run victory and an unassailable 2-0 series lead going to Delhi. 185/10

2025132.55905000
11.1 to Imran Tahir, he has been given. Interesting call, looked close but was there enough doubt on that? No says the umpire, he raises the finger. Slider on leg, Tahir is beaten and is struck on the pad. massive appeal is upheld by the umpire. 29/2
69.6 to HM Amla, big, big wicket. Amla walks off, doesn't wait for the decision. The crowd goes wild. Mad cheers. Lovely ball from Mishy. Tossed up on off, gets the drift required and takes the ball away from the edge, Amla being the quality player that he is, gets close enough to the ball but can only edge it off the upper half of the bat. Carries high to Kohli at gully, and India are ecstatic. 130/5
71.5 to F du Plessis, ooh, unlucky. That one kept very very low. The shot was there to be played with that delivery but the ball pitches and scoots along the ground and Faf is beaten on the pull. Slightly shortish and unfortunately for him, it is straight and another massive wicket for India. They certainly have an end opened up now. Faf's diligent resistance ends. 135/6
