2.2 to TWM Latham, huge appeal! Australia are quite certain Latham has nicked it, so sure that they dig in for an early review. Beautiful length from Hazlewood, drawing the batsman forward but it isn't the kind that can be driven airily. Latham pushes at it and RTS picks up on what the Australian cordon did, but the on-field umpire didn't. Snazzy snazzy tech comes to the rescue. 17/1
6.2 to MJ Guptill, there it is! The magic ball from Hazlewood! Angled in and pitched on middle, drew Guptill forward but since it is on a good length, it has the time to straighten. Kisses the edge and zooms into the captain's hands at second slip. 38/2
8.4 to BB McCullum, caught in the cordon! And McCullum walks! The indipper does for Baz. Brilliant bowling from Australia. They have been pegging away at the stumps, weren't dissuaded by a few boundaries, and continue to reap the rewards. McCullum had to come forward, but he had only half a stride by the time Hazlewood got the ball to scream back into him. Thick inside edge, balloons off his pad to Warner at third slip. A duck on his hundredth. Who'da thought?. 47/4
26.3 to BJ Watling, he's done it again! Tall fast bowler. Tall fast bowler who makes it seam about. Tall fast bowler who kisses the pitch on a good length and gets it to kick up. Hazlewood keeps ramping his skills up and topples a batsman with pretty good defensive technique. Watling was looking for the gentle backfoot block, but in the end this jaffa gets the outside edge off the splice and goes through to the keeper. 88/6

7.2 to KS Williamson, immediate retribution! Siddle shortens his length and Williamson falls victim to his own momentum. But the star here is Peter Nevill, shows exactly why he is the best wicketkeeper in Australia. This is a thick inside edge after Williamson goes for an ill advised drive on the up. Nevill was moving to his right, then dives full length to his left to pouches a screamer!. 44/3
11.1 to HM Nicholls, well, Nevill did say it was coming and when it did come, he pouches it. Something tells me he needn't have played at that. Yep, this was a good length ball that reared up. Nicholls lunges forward and pushes his hands at it. That was at least on sixth stump, but yet those edges keep following Australia's bowlers like dear little puppies.. 51/5
29.3 to DAJ Bracewell, can't fault the No. 8 when the top order has had similar trouble. Bracewell opts for a forcing shot through the off side, tries to stand up on his toes to try and get on top of the bounce, but he has no chance. Gets a thick edge that flies to Voges at first slip, who takes a sharp chance. 97/7

603235.33261300
39.4 to CJ Anderson, this time, his attempt to hit against the turn, results in his wicket. Caught at mid-off. Such a soft dismissal. Inches forward, then presses further to try and get close enough to the ball. He does not manage to do so. Should have checked his shot, instead still goes for the flick and tosses immensely patient, painstaking, promising knock into the Wellington wind. 137/8
41.1 to TG Southee, well, he does try. Clever bowling from Lyon. He knows Southee has a habit of not holding back and gives this a ridiculous amount of air. The tailender goes for the lash over long-off. ends up with an outside edge that settles in Hazlewood's hands at point. 137/9
47.6 to TA Boult, well done, Khawaja! Excellent presence of mind under pressure. He was moving around to the left, had to leap up and take the ball in front of his face, then he comes down and lands right on the edge of the boundary rope. Pops the ball up as he pops out of the boundary, then comes back in to seal the deal. The Basin crowd were baying for that to be six, and booed when the correct decision was made after much delieberation. It was close, but not that close.. 183/10

0.4 to JA Burns, The XI New Zealanders go up, along with all of the Basin! Bax goes straight for the review. Burns was looking for the tickle down leg off and might have been strangled down leg! There is a HotSpot on the bottom glove, a little flicker on the RTS as well and the Wellington crowd has alreadyt given its dismissal. The third umpire is double checking everything though. Going for the magnifying glass even. Goes back to the HotSpot, makes sure all is in order and then asks Umpire Illingworth to change his on-field decison. 0/1
2.3 to DA Warner, poor shot, very poor shot but that's his instinct. It was a tad short, it was miles wide and Warner saw runs and went after it. No feet. flay of the hands, outside edge lands in Watling's gloves and the Basin is hooting and howling and wolf-whistling. 5/2
33610123.0615214000
84.1 to UT Khawaja, turns him inside out! Boult's got some magic in him still. Went wide of the crease to tempt Khawaja to play around his pads. Then he gets in business by making the ball straighten, beat the closed face and thud into his pads right in front of middle. Khawaja strides off having played the most decisive innings of the game, perhaps. Controlled, composed and graceful for several of his 216 balls. 299/4
84.3 to MR Marsh, how about that for a disgruntled fast bowler? If DRS denies me, I'll pluck a one-handed, rip-roaring catch all by myself. Falls face-first into the pitch and then comes up with an expression of utter disbelief. Mouth agape in a big 'O' and eyes wide as saucers. This was fuller, but might have just held in the pitch considering Marsh was sucked into the drive and was trying to check it. Boult was in his follow through, stuck out his right hand and it was just too magnetic. He has a knack for picking up screamers. Took one that made it to Sportscenter's Plays of the Year, if I'm not wrong. 299/5
33412723.8414718202
138.1 to PM Siddle, lo and behold, a wicket for Bracewell! Confirmed only after the umpires do the no-ball check. It was a back of a length ball on off stump that held in the pitch. Siddle went for the hard-handed punch down the ground and instead pops a catch to mid-on. The third umpire confirms the bowler had half of his foot behind the line and New Zealand get together for some pats on the back. 494/7
140.4 to JR Hazlewood, full and wide that time and he has thumped the ball straight at short cover. They had placed a short cover after he hit a four uppishly in that region and it pays off. Another check on the front foot. No problems with Bracewell again. 508/8
1807924.387612111
111.4 to PM Nevill, extra bounce! Nevill's good with that little dab backward of point, but here he is surprised by the zip off the deck. Gets a faint feather on the shortish ball slanted across him through to the wicketkeeper and Anderson roars in delight.. 395/6
147.5 to NM Lyon, that should break the internet! He has plucked that around his ankles and then completes a about half a somersault too for good measure! Move over Boulty. It's that on the up drive that he plays, struck right on the bottom of the bat and was coming down on Anderson's left, quite low. Stuck out the hand and it stuck! But unlike Boulty, Anderson does not stare at the ball wondering how the heck he pulled that off. Just flicked it back like it was all matter of fact. 532/9
35.2215324.3313819200
34.3 to SPD Smith, he's hit a swipe right back at the bowler, but Smith wants the third umpire to have a second look. A round of boos go up just at that point. The on-field umpires decide to be safe than sorry and acquiesce. Certainly not a bump ball, he had got to the pitch of the tossed up ball and looked for the on-drive. Went low to Craig, on his left, saw it through to his big hands and makes some amends for the earlier drop. 131/3
154.2 to AC Voges, stop the press. Adam Voges has been dismissed in Test cricket. Craig takes part in the fourth caught and bowled for the innings. The batsman had run down the track for a whip to long-on, Craig moves to his right and holds on to a sharp chance. 562/10

38.1 to KS Williamson, he's nicked off! Hazlewood strikes and he's deserved it for stacking so many balls in the corridor. Beat Williamson outside off a couple of times earlier in this spell and this time that defensive bat pushes a little further out to feather a back of a length delivery straightening off the deck through to the keeper. 121/2
90.5 to DAJ Bracewell, "you beauty," is the shout and there's not really much to disagree on that. Hazlewood pitches on a good length and jags it back sharply, hits Bracewell on middle, and umpire Kettleborough says on your way. A little discussion between the two batsmen and up they go for review. No bat involved. This looks plumb. Shaves the top of middle, stays with umpire's call. Fair enough. 242/8
1945112.68917002
82.4 to HM Nicholls, there's his first, and it comes as a result of a full delivery. Heasn't dealt those out too often, but here he does and maybe gets some awayswing too. Nicholls was looking for the whip through midwicket, but he plays it stuck on the crease and down the wrong line. His balance is shot, and the stumps are as well. 218/7
803003.75333000
17.327334.17739002
62.3 to BB McCullum, he's given! McCullum is lbw, but is asking for the height, and he wants to review. Back of a length ball cuts back in and McCullum was up on his toes to hit the very top flap of the front pad. Caught on the crease, and he is a short man. Nothing on Hot-Spot, they go to RTS to confirm. No bat involved, clearly. Three reds on Hawk-Eye and Marsh has done the trick.. 178/4
68.2 to CJ Anderson, Stevie has his way! The captain asked for this very ball a minute or so ago and here it is. Anderson checks with his partner, didn't look all that convincing, but goes for a review. Pitches on middle, quite full too, Anderson is caught in the crease by the inswing and it drumps low into the front pad. Should be decimating leg stump. TV umpire Martinesz sees no bat, and then sees three reds on HawkEye. Anderson, after looking pretty decent for 21 balls, bags a duck because of the reverse swing.. 185/5
104.3 to TA Boult, gives his hand away too early and Marsh nails the middle stump. Boult had moved away outside off and had gone so far that he can't bring the bat down on a simple, full straight ball. Excellent bowling display to finish off an innings victory. 327/10
31109142.931476400
21.2 to MJ Guptill, brilliant work from Marsh and immensely gutsy bowling from Nathan! Thew the ball up over Guptill's eyeline to make him go for the big one. Goes for a wild slog, but there isn't as much room for the shot. He was deceived by the extra flight. Top edges straight up, it swirls around and Marsh runs, looking over his shoulder and makes a dive to hold it with both hands. Great work all around. 81/1
51.2 to TWM Latham, leading edge and Khawaja running around at mid-off takes a fine catch. Latham's gone. Ran down the pitch, but then realises Lyon's beaten him for the lack of flight. He had set up to slog into the leg side, then checks his shot but it doesn't help him.. 157/3
77.2 to BJ Watling, he has this knack, whether the batsman is trying to defend or attack, he gets through them with simple, unassuming deliveries. At least that's what they think initially. Watling went back thinking he had a cut or a punch through the off side. But Lyon had tossed it up, drifts it away to tempt the batsman into improper decision making. Watling tries to adjust with the ball turns quite a bit after pitching. Still only offeres an angled bat, takes the inside edge and thuds into the stumps. 214/6
99.5 to TG Southee, oh, it was always too good to last. Lyon has a fourth as he kept tossing the ball up, this time did so a little wider outside off. Southee, with his preference for leg-side play, tries to drag it. Mis-hit straight to Khawaja at long-on. Might just have been the fastest fifty by a NZ batsman in Tests had he held on a little longer. 301/9
