One of the first things Nick Harrison did as a professional cricketer was drop a skier on the boundary at Blackpool that would have dismissed Steven Croft long before his first-innings century that rescued the Lancashire innings and ultimately gave them a decisive advantage. Harrison was on as 12th man.

His County Championship debut was equally inauspicious as he sent down four wides and conceded 62 in 13 overs after bowling two maidens. That came in the penultimate match of the 2012 season. He also played the final game at Taunton as Worcestershire looked to give their youth experience.

Prior to joining Worcestershire, Harrison, a medium-pace bowler from Bath, played Minor Counties cricket for Wiltshire and for Corsham in the West of England Premier League.
