Regarding Tremlett, yes it's obvious he's not fit, but how should he get fit?

Is he a bowler who bowls himself fit? Does he need more time in the gym and the nets?

I just don't think he should be getting himself fit by bowling at half- gas in the Surrey first team. Mr Dobell condemns those of us who have questioned Tremlett's effort, defending him with the same old "he's not fit. He's not been fit for two years."

If he's not fit then why did Adams pick him at Lord's and why did Graeme Smith choose to enforce the follow-on carrying an unfit bowler? It's my opinion that Tremlett decided he wasn't fit at some point during the massive Middlesex opening partnership, that's when his pace dropped and his follow-through shortened by four yards. In the first innings he was fine.

It's nothing new with Tremlett, Hampshire fans will agree, when it gets tough Tremlett doesn't want to know and the same excuses roll out. It's is a shame because when he is firing he is a superb Test match bowler

I just don't think Broad should play. Like they say, we don't want a low 80s foot-outside-off bowler. We want someone who'll challenge the batsman regularly. For me it would have to be Onions but, with the squad picked I'd probably go bresnan.

Don't think it s a risk tbf, if he's fit and he is, he should play. What's the difference between playing for Notts and England as far as risking injury goes, can't see the problem. I'd bet he'd send down more overs playing for Notts than he will for England anyway.

I don't think Swann would have been picked if Panesar and Tredwell had been in the wickets in the early season. Seems a bit of a risk if you ask me, I'd have preferred him to get a bit more cricket under his belt first.
