As Steve Waugh mentions the facilities are really not up to scratch. People are not allowed to bring in food, toilet facilities not great, food inside not great. IPL arrangements are far better. BCCI can I am sure get to that and maintain that level in Test matches also.

Frankly Australia and England still attract a decent crowd for Test matches. The worry is India. Crowds for Test matches especially in B cities is terrible. Something needs to be done to keep world cricket alive. India is an evil necessity to keep the game alive.

Steve Waugh is right, Australia have struggled to fill out stadiums in the last few years, which is intrinsically linked to the national team's poor performances. Who could forget the near empty stadiums England won the Ashes to last time?
