George Jupp was an opening batsman who played a handful of times for Middlesex in 1867 and 1868. He made 41 and 47 on debut against Surrey, the highest score in both innings. However, in his next ten innings he managed only 44 runs. He was also an excellent athlete, specialising in the 100 yards and the hurdles.
