23.2 to AA Wakhare, another superb grab from Paliwal, this time at short leg! He was placed just a little deep considering Dinda's extra pace, although he would have been expecting to be in business off a short ball. Not quite when the batsman hits a flick reasonably well. Moved quickly, low to his left and took it with both hands. Excellent work. 60/6
1536244.136813000
5.3 to KS Bharat, faced the first ball in pink-ball-first-class cricket in India, becomes the first wicket as well. Falls to none of its wiles though. This is a short ball that does not afford him the room he needs to pull. But he doesn't care, plays the shot anyway, with his balance on the front foot, gets a top edge and first slip tracks it down. 11/1
12.1 to SD Chatterjee, he was walking into the drive, should have used his front foot better, now he can go think about it in the dressing room. Sandeep bowls full, he'd also switched to around the stumps, and gets the ball to straighten that dangerous little bit. The bat gambols out to meet it, offers the edge and the wicketkeeper pouches it. 33/2
37.4 to Kuldeep Yadav, that's lovely! he had moved around the stumps for this, angled the ball into the left-hander, who went blindly forward for a block. But his bat coming in from gully leaves just enough of a gap for the pink ball to sneak through. Moves in off the seam and takes middle stump hostage. 94/7
45.4 to Anureet Singh, Anureet holes out to third man. Chest-high clasp from Tiwary. Innocuous short ball pushed wide outside off. Anureet swings his haymaker at it and ends up carving a catch to the man in the deep. India Red nine down. 144/9
831622.00402000
13.5 to Yuvraj Singh, short and sweet then for the captain. Rajpoot corrects his line and plants the ball full and straight. Yuvi nails the flick - absolutely nails it - but looks up to see the square leg fielder, wisely positioned a few feet behind square, take an easy catch. 38/3
15.1 to Gurkeerat Singh, wickets in successive overs for Rajpoot! Surprises the batsman with a lifter, and this pitch wasn't supposed to be conducive to those. That said, Gurkeerat shouldn't have been on the front foot to this ball, or at least shouldn't have been driving away from his body when it was nowhere near close to being a half-volley. Straightens just enough, kisses the edge and through to the keeper. 42/4
5.201933.56231100
18.3 to KB Arun Karthik, slogged to short midwicket! Lunges at the ball, drags it from outside off and sweeps it to the man placed there for the catch. India Red playing pin ball cricket with the fielders in the first first-class match with the pink-ball in India. 49/5
44.3 to A Mukund, played on to the leg stump! Pushed through on off, just a hint of turn from over the stumps, Mukund has a short stride forward as he looks to drive. He jams an inside edge onto the pad, which ricochets onto the leg stump. Soft end to a strong, assured knock. 144/8
48.2 to IC Pandey, bowled'em. Ojha gives it plenty of air, draws Pandey out of the crease. He swings his hands wildly at the ball. Completely misses it. Ojha hits the leg stump and wraps India Red up for 161. 161/10

1.1 to RV Uthappa, that's a gem from Nathu Singh. Nails the top of the off stump. This length ball pitches outside off, hits the surface, and seams back in sharply. Bursts through the gate and barges into Uthappa's castle. This was was down to seam movement, not swing in the air. Gee! what a sight for a fast bowler. 1/1
5.5 to Jalaj S Saxena, 'howzaat howzaat' is the cry from Nathu. The soft signal is out. The on-field umpire now refers it to the TV umpire. Is that a front-foot no-ball as well? Tight call. The TV umpire Srinivasan examines the foot and moves over to check if the catch had carried, which suggests there might have been some part of the heel behind the line. There isn't enough conclusive evidence, and so the benefit of the doubt goes to the bowler. Back of a length and outside off, does not bounce as much as Jajaj expected it to. He chases the ball with a leaden-footed slash and bottom-edges it behind. Bharat bends low and snaps up a smart catch. Jalaj has to go. 25/2
7.1 to RS Paliwal, Paliwal has been given out lbw, the on-field umpire calls the TV umpire to check for a possible no-ball. Srinivasan has a similar call to make. If the last one was okay, this should go in the favour of the bowler as well. Paliwal now exits. Looked like it was heading down leg, though. Full-length inswinger, from over the stumps, the batsman plays across the line, topples over, and is struck on the pad in front of middle and leg. 31/3
43.2 to AB Dinda, perfect yorker from Nathu. Not much Dinda could do there. Leaves a big gap between bat and pad and the ball doesn't meet bat on the drive. Goes through the gate and knocks the stumps. The umpires have gone up to check for the front foot though, but Nathu has just managed to get a part of his foot behind the line. 139/8
43.4 to PP Ojha, another very full delivery, not as full as the on that got Dinda but bowled it bang on target. Ojha was late to bring his bat down and it comes down at an awkward angle. Gets it nowhere close to the ball which takes out offstump. 140/9
45.4 to SS Tiwary, goes for an almighty heave again and picks long off this time. It was pitched up to him and Tiwary had eyes on the leg side and slogs hard. But the ball goes off the outside half of his bat and pops towards long off who settles under the ball for a straightforward catch. 151/10
1543232.13745000
20.6 to PA Patel, great catch from Bharath the keeper! It's flatter, Parthiv went back to cut but plays under the ball, feather edge taken, superbly taken by the man from Andhra. 72/4
24.2 to SK Raina, Kuldeep dismisses his UP team-mate! Tossed up high and Raina catches the bait as he ventures down the track for a big hit. He is beaten in flight and by drift in the air as he misses the full toss. He reached down the track, making it a full toss, and missed the mow to leg. Kuldeep drifted it in and messed up the stumps. The middle stump is pegged back. The drink should taste sweeter for India Green. 87/5
24.5 to S Gopal, Gopal nicks off to slip for a duck. Shapes as a legbreak, but largely goes straight on outside off. Gopal plays for the turn and wafts an edge to Yuvraj, who bends low and pouches the catch. Three wickets in two overs for the wristspinner. 87/6

2166913.289611100
82.5 to A Mukund, there's the breakthrough. The decision to bowl from around the wicket has worked. The ball was pitched up this time, Abhinav is drawn forward and into the drive, the thick edge flies towards gully where Saurabh Tiwary moves low to his left to take a smart catch. So he managed to add just seven to his overnight score. That should rejuvenate India Green. Abhinav made the mistake of being glued to the crease as he went after that one. 370/4
1717714.526813000
7.5 to KS Bharat, Cleaned 'em up with seam movement. Bharat's middle stump is sent on a cartwheel. That's what happens when you pitch it up on the right line. Full and ducks back in after pitching outside off. Zips through the gate, kept low as well, adding to Bharat's trouble. Replays show that Bharat dragged on off a thick inside edge. 39/1
2207413.36876000
67.5 to Yuvraj Singh, Jalaj hangs onto the return catch! Tosses it liberally outside off, Yuvraj is drawn into a drive. But it's a half-hearted shot. He ends up lobbing a simple catch to Jalaj. 300/3
1115825.27357000
112.2 to Kuldeep Yadav, swung across the line and he's holed out to deep midwicket. This was a flatter delivery, he didn't quite get under the flight, which meant he ended up dragging it a bit, and found the lone man there. Wicket against the run of play. Good knock by Kuldeep. Showed good application for most parts of his vigil.. 480/8
112.5 to IC Pandey, the slider has done the trick. The ball drifts back in from wide of the crease, Ishwar Pandey shapes to cut when he could have well played it off the front foot, missed it completely and saw the off stump pegged back. 480/9
28.5412354.261169700
62.2 to SD Chatterjee, Gopal breaks the 240-run stand. Sudip misjudges the length. Tossed up liberally from round the wicket, dips in late, too full for the sweep. Sudip is beaten on the inside edge and is rapped on the pad bang in front of middle. The finger goes up. A fine knock, nonetheless. 279/2
90.4 to KB Arun Karthik, the flipper has done the trick. There's drift, bite and fizz from middle, Karthik plays all around it as he looks to whip but is hit on his left pad. He knew he was a dead duck the moment that happened. Pump of the fists from Shreyas, he really had the batsman's measure with that delivery. He brought out his legspin, the wrong'un and finally got the batsman with the flipper.. 404/5
96.4 to Gurkeerat Singh, this is outstanding bowling from Shreyas! He tossed that up superbly to draw Gurkeerat forward, there was plenty of dip and turn as he ended up dragging his back foot outside the crease. In the process he also lost his balance as Parthiv Patel got up with the bounce to effect a superb stumping. There was dip, turn, drift, bounce and everything else a legspinner can dream of. Special delivery to end Gurkeerat's stay. He bowls bad deliveries from time-to-time, but a captain won't mind it if he can pull off stunners like those.. 425/6
100.1 to AA Wakhare, his impressive show of his variations continues. Tossed up beautifully on off stump, but this was the googly that spun back in to beat Wakhare's forward prod and hit him on the back leg. That would have crashed into middle and off. Top class delivery.. 431/7
116.5 to NB Singh, he's got him with a googly. A well-deserved five-for, his third in first-class cricket. Generously tossed up outside off, Nathu once again goes for a wild slog, but his head was is no position as the ball spun back in to beat the inside edge and hit middle stump. He leads the team off the park.. 486/10

43.6 to S Gopal, hello, wake up guys! And all of a sudden Anureet produces something which nobody would have expected or thought off..All his previous balls was way outside off and straightening enough. This one pitched around off stump and brought Gopal onto the front foot, it hits the seam and nips away, catches the outside edge and lands into the hands of Bharat. That's brilliant, cross seam ball and zips across.. 198/6
1016416.40369005
49.2 to AB Dinda, what have you done, Dinda? Very, very poor especially when your captain is ready to take them on at the other end. Nathu bangs it in short but doesn't get the kind of bounce he would have liked, Dinda, it seems, had already decided he'll play the pull come hell or high water, but was cramped for room as the ball lobs gently to mid-on.. 239/8
7.203014.09334100
56.2 to PP Ojha, has he hit that well? No. It's all over. The ball was swirling high and handsome, but Ojha didn't quite find the middle and Abhinav Mukund, running in from long-on, kept his eyes on the ball against the fluffy white clouds as backdrop and managed to take it quite comfortably in the end.. 277/10
1023413.40445001
9.2 to Jalaj S Saxena, the bowling change has done the trick. Pandey hits the good length spot outside off, the ball nips back in to cramp Saxena for room as he attempts an expansive cut, and ends up chopping it back onto the stumps. Poor judgment from Saxena. 66/1
1818864.887315100
22.2 to RV Uthappa, and gone..Uthappa was looking quite frustrated and was trying too hard for those shots, lack of concentration and now he threw his wicket here. Tossed up ball on middle stump as he gets forward to block, ball catches the outside edge and lands into the safe hands of Yuvraj at first slip. The ball was dying at him as he plays inside the line and was anticipating for a bit of turn. That ball kept straight and done the trick. Kuldeep gets a prized wicket here.. 122/2
22.4 to RS Paliwal, Paliwal goes for a duck..Once again a batsman plays the wrong line. This was a flatter length ball on middle and leg stump. It extracts touch extra bounce and Paliwal was outside the line of it as he thought this will grip and turn across of him. He was caught at the crease and hits the pad, plumb infront. Paliwal had no clue there, played with a blank mind. Kuldeep is turning the things now with the two quick wickets.. 122/3
26.6 to PA Patel, plumb, plumb, plumb - Got him now..another googly and Parthiv mostly likely picked this one but not able to read the bounce there which I feel. Flatter length ball at off stump which straightens enough, Patel gets deep inside the crease to cut but this one kept quite low to the expectation of him and not bounced enough for that shot. Or he should have stayed on the front foot for that, it was not that alarming short and could have been negotiated well. That mind of yours on a given day. Ball hits the flap of the back pad, what a delivery! Creates the confusion and Parthiv fails to pick the length and goes for the wrong shot.. 131/4
40.5 to SS Tiwary, and he's gone..Kuldeep strikes again and half of the side are back into the hut now..The error of judging the length is going on, it's Tiwary now. This was on a flatter length on the leg stump, kept low and moves across touch to beat that hanging bat of Tiwary, who might be asking and hoping for some good dab. He stays in the cease till the ball landed and then went touch inside anticipating that to straightens and was judging that as shortish, all these errors in fraction of few seconds.. 185/5
44.2 to Sandeep Sharma, fifer for Kuldeep - Flighted ball which was pitched well outside off and forces Sandeep to come onot the front foot, then the ball turns back in sharply beating the bat pad and clatters the stumps. Nothing much to be expected from him while coming to defence, anyways! Playing inside the line and nowhere near to the pitch of it, quite a pain right?. 199/7
55.6 to SK Raina, soft, soft dismissal. Failed encore. Kuldeep floats it in on the leg stump as he backs away outside leg. Instead of going for another full-blooded lofted strike, Raina simply chips it to mid-off. Nathu hangs onto the catch. No ton for Raina. India Red one away from triumph. 275/9
