8.6 to HDRL Thirimanne, pushes and nicks to second slip, Thirimanne's vigil is over! He had been patient, oh so patient, but England were working him hard, this he could have left, slightly back of a length and in the channel but the hands were drawn to it and a lick of flame singed the outside edge, sizeable deflection and a safe take from Tredwell. 33/1
47.2 to SMA Priyanjan, slower-ball bouncer and Priyanjan top-edges to mid-on! Been a fiesty little knock but he was duped there, through the shot a little early trying to drag a pull over midwicket, it looped up softly to Morgan, who pockets it nonchalantly. That's Anderson's 250th ODI wicket and England will hope it finally puts the brakes on the SL innings. 236/6

46.2 to AD Mathews, throws the bat again, this time picking out cover with a mistimed drive! May have been another change of pace, Gurney was bowling around the wicket and Mathews wanted to go inside out over cover, didn't get enough on it and this time a simple catch is taken simply. 225/5
48.3 to LD Chandimal, pitched up and slapped to cover! Not enough elevation as Chandimal looked for the ropes again, skewered his drive straight to Bopara, who takes his second catch to help atone for dropping Mathews. 247/7
48.5 to KMDN Kulasekara, Kulasekara clears the front leg and clouts the ball high towards cow corner... but there's a man out there and he's gone too! Third wicket for Gurney, Sri Lanka stumbling towards 250. 248/8

37.1 to TM Dilshan, bowled him, through the gate, Dilshan goes! He was closing in on a first hundred in England, had mixed care with aggression but he's been done by a perfect length from Jordan, lured him forward and the ball tailed in between bat and pad, thunking into the top of middle to ping the bails. Slightly loose from Dilshan but Jordan has done really well to fox a man who's hung in there for 100 deliveries. 159/4

30.4 to KC Sangakkara, beautifully slow delivery from Tredwell and Sanga goes, trying to force it over the leg side. This is pitched outside off, turning away, and Sanga gets on his kneees and tries to slog it against the turn. The result is a top edge that goes almost straight up. Jos Buttler calls for it, settles nicely beneath it and pouches the ball. Good breakthrough. Tredwell deserves it for his bravery.. 129/2

2.4 to MA Carberry, gone! Carberry's stay is a short one. Classic Kulasekara dismissal of a left-hander. Pitches it on middle and off, wobbles it away. Carberry gets a thin but audible edge as he prods on the front foot, and Sangakkara collects at around knee height. Sri Lanka have their first.. 19/1
4.4 to IR Bell, nice use of the variation from Kulasekara. This is the one that straightens down the line a tad. It doesn't do a lot, but Bell is expecting this wide, back of a length ball to seam in as they usually do, and ends up giving a thick edge to Sangakkara. Kula hasn't got his lines right, but he's got two nonetheless.. 26/2
6.2 to GS Ballance, another one for Kulasekara, and I think this is the one that straightens again. This is angled across Ballance, who expects it to jag away when it pitches on a length, but it seams the other way - not a lot, but enough to beat the bat and strike the front pad. That would have gone on to hit off stump. The umpire raises his finger. Ballance doesn't bother reviewing. Seam has got the England top order in tatters. 29/4

5.2 to JE Root, OH! And that's completely done Root in. The batsman misjudges the length completely, stays back to a length ball he could have come forward to, and what's more, played down the wrong line to a ball that seamed away. Root plays too straight and Malinga cleans up the off stump. England in a state early on.. 27/3
603616.00264240
25.2 to EJG Morgan, back of a length, pulled hard, good timing but Morgan has perfectly picked out deep midwicket who holds a solid catch. Morgan was understandably swinging at anything in his zone and he made a great connection but couldn't keep it down or indeed get the direction right. 95/9
7.111341.81361000
14.6 to RS Bopara, bowled him! Completely foxes him in the flight, Bopara pushes at this one, as it pitches outside off. Doesn't account for the turn or the bounce that Senanayake gets, and the ball beats the inside edge and strikes off stump. England in further disarray. Think that was the one that moves off the seam. Bopara was caught in two minds whether to come forward or back.. 46/5
18.2 to CJ Jordan, sharp offspin, Jordan caught on the crease and given out lbw was it doing too much? Jordan goes for the review. He's right back on the stumps and hit in line with middle and Hawk Eye has it smashing leg stump so a second good decision from umpire Erasmus in the innings and England slide further. He can biff the seamers but a different kettle of fish against spin for Jordan. 63/7
22.1 to JC Tredwell, tossed up just outside off and Tredwell lifts it up and down the ground and straight into the hands of long-off. What a funny shot. I assumed it was a calm chip for a couple over the in-field but Tredwell has just knocked it nicely to the fielder coming in a few yards. Bizarre. Terrible stroke. 73/8
26.1 to JM Anderson, a charge down the wicket, wild swing having got nowhere near the pitch of the ball and Anderson is bowled and England have been routed here. A pretty ugly ending with a miserable shot from Anderson to lose his off stump. Completes an excellent spell from Senanayake, his fourth wicket. 99/10
20914.5071010
17.1 to JC Buttler, Oh geez, what's happened there? That one looks like it stopped on Buttler, but Mathews does do that sometimes. It's a fairly average ball otherwise, and Buttler will be annoyed by that. It's short of a length, about a foot outside off. The batsman looks to drag it to leg, but is fooled by the lack of pace. In the end, all he does is bunt it up gently in the air to the off side, where Senanayake at short cover dives to his side and snaffles it.. 55/6
