Bill Tyrwhitt-Drake, a wicketkeeper-batsman, was in the Haileybury XI for three seasons, playing for Lord's Schools against the Rest in 1943 and captaining them and his school the following two summers. He went up to Cambridge with a good reputation but played only three times, twice in 1946 and once in 1948. He represented Hertfordshire from the end of the war until 1958 and also turned out for The Army.
