Spiro Zavos was an opening batsman who played just the one First-class match, against the touring MCC in 1959. He fell cheaply to Frank Tyson twice in a heavy loss by an innings within two days. He moved to Australia in the 1970s and is now known for his rugby writing, having written several books on the subject, and as a rugby journalist for the Sydney Morning Herald.
