David Fasken was a right-arm fast-medium bowler who won Blues at Oxford in 1953, 1954 and 1955, with his best season being his second when he took 26 wickets at 35.30. His best bowling came in his third match, against the touring Australians, when he took 5 for 108, the only five-wicket haul of his career. His appearances were very limited by exams in his final year, and after leaving university he played a number of first-class matches, almost all against student sides. He went on to become vice-chairman of Earls Court and Olympia and was also president of the Frogs.
