Harry Farquhar De Paravicini, a noted Sussex sportsman and past president of the county, died on October 28, at Hove, aged 83. He played for Harrow in 1877 and 1878, his more famous younger brother, Percy John, being in the Eton XI that suffered defeat by 20 runs in the latter year. Harry went to Cambridge, but did not get his Blue, and he played sometimes for Middlesex without any notable success. He was one of the Harrow pair that won the Public Schools Racquets Championship in 1878.
