Bermuda make solid reply to Namibia's 320
Bermuda 91 for 1 trail Namibia 320 (Sarel Burger 86, Snyman 58) by 229 runs
Bermuda's top order got off to a solid start in reply to Namibia's first-innings total of 320 on a rain-curtailed second day at the National Stadium in Hamilton, Bermuda. Rain forced an early end to play just before tea by which time Bermuda had progressed to 91 for 1, trailing by 229 runs.
Openers Oronde Bascome and Jekon Edness added 59 for the first wicket before Kola Burger trapped Bascome leg-before for 25. Edness, who finished the day on 36, added 32 for the second wicket with Chris Douglas before the rain.
Bermuda's reply came after their bowlers were frustrated by a last-wicket partnership worth 56 between Sarel Burger and Namibia's No. 11 Louis Klazinga. Namibia began the day on 280 for 9 with Sarel on 71 and Klazinga on 8 and the pair added 40 runs before Dwayne Leverock had Sarel caught by Lionel Cann. Klazinga remained unbeaten on 30.
A win in this match will take Namibia to the final of the Intercontinental Cup.
