Dear Rahul Dravid, how on the earth we will get Swann-like (GOOD) spinners from IPL...

What a thorough gentleman, Rahul! It was a treat to watch you speak. Monga, you are a cricket writer par excellence. It would have been great to see you in formals interviewing Rahul who was anyways dressed in formals.

With due respect to Rahul, I would like to say that, for its overseas test matches, India must find and decide its first-choice-pacers, BEFORE worrying about deciding on its first-choice-spinners. At least they seem to be thinking about the REAL first priority, first.

Prioritizing the key issues to be resolved is very important. FIRST priority: Opening batsmen. SECOND: Opening Bowlers. Only THIRD priority: The lead spinner/ pair of spinners.

Nothing wrong in the declaration, on the hind sight anybody can say anything, including prefect student of the game - Dravid. it is all about Ifs and Buts. it has not worked. he wanted to give it a shot at the weak Indian Opening link, with his best potent skill - fast bowling. ( People outside the playing 11 does not matter, even it is the former great)

Well said Rahul. Indian Cricket needs mentor like rahul and kumble.
