Richard Parkhouse played twice for Glamorgan in 1939 but failed to score in his only Championship innings against Hampshire at Southampton. He played club cricket for Clydach and Llanelli during the 1930s before taking up a teaching appointment in Egypt. He appeared for All Egypt against H.M.Martineau`s XI in 1939, and he returned to the UK. after World War Two and coached in Scotland.
