Asha Rawat is a technically correct batsman and she has already made a name for herself as an excellent fielder both close in and in the outfield. After making her debut against England in India in 2005, she was included in the squad for their tour of Ireland and England in 2006. But out of the five matches she played, she only got to bat in two where she aggregated in 12 runs. Rawat was not picked for the Asia Cup that year and also missed out on selection to the squad for the Quadrangular Series in early 2007.
