Trophy match between North Zone and the West got off to a delayed start at
2:55 pm at the Punjab Cricket Associatioon stadium.
Winning the toss, North decided to have a bowl first. Surendra Singh, the
hero of the earlier match, struck first blood for North as he trapped
Connor Williams leg before for 21 at 40 in the 13th over. Play had to be
called of early as bad light prevented any possibility of further cricket.
At stumps, West had moved on to 67/1 in 30 overs. India International
discards Wasim Jaffer and Hrishikesh Kanitkar were unbeaten on 24 and 17
respectively
