Ryder and Ganguly script Pune victory

113

Pune Warriors 192 for 3 (Ryder 86, Ganguly 41) beat Delhi Daredevils 172 for 7 (Sehwag 57, Thomas 3-22, Ganguly 2-27) by 20 runs
Scorecard and ball-by-ball details

Pune Warriors recovered from two successive defeats to beat the form team in this IPL thus far, thanks to an impressive all-round effort. Sourav Ganguly, their captain, played a significant role with bat and ball, and some exciting shot-making from Jesse Ryder and Steven Smith helped post a total that proved beyond the might of Delhi Daredevils' power-packed batting line-up. At the Ferozshah Kotla, the hosts were well on track when Virender Sehwag and Kevin Pietersen were going strong in a threatening partnership, but the chase ran out of steam when a couple of bowling changes proved decisive by accounting for both.

Daredevils were up against the Warriors' highest total of the season and needed a blistering start, but were hit with the early loss of Mahela Jayawardene. That brought two of their most destructive batsmen together, and the tempo of the innings from there on was a contrast to a sedate first four overs bowled by Alfonso Thomas and Ashish Nehra. Murali Kartik came on in the fifth, and Sehwag charged out to launch him for a straight six followed by a cut through point. Pietersen looked in command, targeting Angelo Mathews in the next over, slapping him disdainfully for a straight six then carving him over extra cover and long-on to make it three in four balls.

Sehwag then took over, gradually building the pressure on his Warriors counterpart by making a mockery of each of his bowling changes. Ryder was carted for consecutive sixes over extra cover and Rahul Sharma was blasted into the second tier. The pair had added 71 in five overs, the bowling changes had failed and the Warriors captain tried another option, bringing himself on.

Pietersen had made up his mind and swung hard but Ganguly's first ball kept low, beat the bat and hit the stumps, prompting wild celebrations. An animated Ganguly sprinted across the field, his hair clinging for dear life on to his head, as the importance of that wicket began to sink in. In his next over, he was struck over midwicket for six by Irfan Pathan but had his man when an attempt at a similar shot produced a catch in the deep. Daredevils were still in the game with Sehwag batting, but Ganguly's decision to bring back Kartik paid off. Kartik tossed it up, bowled it slow, Sehwag struck one straight back at him and the bowler kept his cool to pluck a decisive catch.

Ross Taylor struggled to get going in the company of a relatively inexperienced lower-middle order, and his run-out, in a Ganguly over, virtually shut Daredevils out of the game. Nehra and Thomas returned to complete what was, in the end, a comfortable win.

The highlights of the Warriors innings were a 93-run stand between Ryder and Ganguly, and late onslaught from Smith. Ryder and Ganguly threw Sehwag's plans off track by going after the most successful bowler this IPL season, Morne Morkel, and forced some debatable bowling changes that helped the batsmen settle in further. Eager to open up after a quiet start, Ryder targeted Morkel and was lucky, his first two boundaries - a six over third man and then a four past fine leg - coming off edges.

The approach unsettled Morkel, who Ryder struck - convincingly this time - for two more fours, before he was taken out of the attack, having conceded 31 in two overs. Sehwag had the option of using Yadav then, or left-arm spinner Pawan Negi, who replaced Ajit Agarkar for this match. Instead, he had a bowl himself and was swept for fours by Ryder and Ganguly, before Pietersen was smashed over extra cover and long-off for a four and a six respectively. Twenty-six came off overs eight and nine, and the pair was well prepared by the time the regulars returned.

Both faltered in their running, failing to convert several singles into twos, but the boundaries compensated for that lethargy. Ganguly scooped Nadeem over short fine before hammering him down the ground, and Ryder stepped up when he was joined by Smith once Ganguly went. He cracked Irfan over extra cover and swung Yadav over square leg and midwicket for sixes.

As the seamers struggled with their lengths, either bowling too short or on a length, the otherwise miserly Nadeem too came in for some punishment. Smith launched him for sixes over his head and midwicket, and dispatched him for two fours, one off a reverse-sweep, to pick 23 in the 18th over. Sixty-seven came off the last five, giving Warriors an excellent shot at getting their campaign back on track. They did so, with their captain leading the way.

o come on guys. ganguly WAS a great player n captain. but he IS well past his expiry. what i dont like about him is his lack of humility (which is a trait of SRT, RD, VVS). the truth is he doesn't fit into IPL5. as i said, one or two freak knocks or bowling spells dont count. let him play an innings like viru's innings today. or let him bowl another spell like his own previous one at delhi. he didn't bowl again after he got bashed by viru - which explains he knows that his previous spell in delhi was a fluke! dada is dadu now. be dada lovers, and not dadu lovers!

@AbhiNaik: You are absolutely correct..What has Ganguly done for India..Scored 13k runs in ODIs and took over 100 wickets..big deal..even you could have done that, right ??...Brought in youngsters like Yuvraj, Sehwag, Harbhajan..so what..any body could have done that...Converted a group of lambs into a team of match winners (in both India and overseas)..so what??..thats like the easiest thing to do, right??....Keep posting your comments...World would be so boring without characters like you !!!

Someone who scoed 15 hundreds against the cricketing superpowers you mentioned plus Kenya and Namibia, someone who averages around 30 in the 4th innings of a test match, someone who has been part of 250 international defeats for India over the last 20 plus years. Someone who will surely fail when India needs to chase 300 in an ODI or needs to bat 6 hours to save a test match. Please name your choice.

The most successful captain india has produced so what if 5-6 were against Bangla/Zim. So what if it was Dravid, Tendlya, Bhajji, laxman, Sehwag and Zaheer who won those matches you need someone for the toss and delay the toss to earn the sobriquest fearless captain. So what if pitch is green and you opt out, india's colour is always blue. What a performance from Ganguly, deserves a Bharat Ratna , atleast for his hairstyle.

@jigar_dhonifan, most of Dhoni's success came because of the quality of the players in the team. If you look back a 2-3 years ago, India rose to the top of test rankings mainly because players like Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman and Zaheer were performing well. Look at the situation now, as soon as the players I mentioned above lost a bit of their form, Dhoni lost 8 straight tests away from home. On the other hand, Ganguly had a much better record as captain. Lastly, players like Yuvraj, Zaheer, Sehwag and Harbhajan (players who won the world cup for india) were groomed under the captaincy of Ganguly. And I believe that if he had been a captain for a while longer, then Irfan Pathan would have had a much better career than he is having now @SamRoy, totally agree that Ganguly is a way better Test captain than Dhoni.

  • on April 22, 2012, 14:31 GMT

@Jigar -> Please also include eight consecutive oversaes test defeats in your long list of achievements. That did not happen in Indian Cricket for the last 50 years.

I think ,now that Dada is in form ... he would probably open with Ryder and let Uthappa go one down ... That in fact lends more balance to their side as Dada is a kind of player who takes a few balls to settle and then can unleash himself on the spinners ... Uthappa is more of a finisher hence can come at no.3 ... Rest of the teams looks pretty good and they should make the play-offs ...

  • on April 22, 2012, 10:35 GMT

hey my request to all pune supporters .plz dont go ga-ga over one off fluke performance against a team who r tired of winning n didnt take the match seriously.i can easily bet that pune will be the first team to be eliminated from ipl.they have only one class player called angelo matthews n if he underperform thats the end for pune warriors.

  • Lovetesh on April 22, 2012, 9:45 GMT

I rate Saurav Ganguly and Imran Khan as the best captains that Subcontinent has seen. They were not only able to enthuse confidence but also had an eye for talent. That was a masterstoke from Sahara to bring Ganguly to Pune. They know he can build the team. How beautifully Ganguly has built Pune in the last year. Remember that Steve Smith, Samuels, Tamim Iqbal all went unsold at auction. He convinced Clarke as well to join them. He is truly a remarkable and passionate cricketer. I support Pune just because of Ganguly.

  • on April 22, 2012, 9:18 GMT

Dada exploits after retirement reminds one of M.A.K.Pataudi who was recalled to lead the Indian side in 1974-75 against Clive Llyods all conquering Windies in the home series from the kolkata test with India 2-0 down. What happened thereafter is history with India losing narrowly 3-2. The TIGER just like our DADA was in woefully poor batting form yet their form did not deter their astuteness in exceptional leadership qualities . DADA none of your vintage aggressiveness has waned one bit !!! add this your "Dibbly dobbly slow medium stuff" as the English call it ,is still potent enough

Ganguly has managed his team well this season but that he is not brining in Bangladesh's Tamim Iqbal is still a big surprise.... Tamim deserves a spot in the XI than the underperforming Abgelo Mathews....

  • pai11 on April 22, 2012, 8:56 GMT

n yes hats off to DADA. he dropped Samuels (who had played well previously) to accomodate Thomas. great decision. and continue with J. Ryder.. I think this answers many questions about why Tamim is still warming benches. and the decision to keep 2 overs each of nehra & Thomas in the death overs was a master-class... and the turning-point for me was the innings of S.Smith. that was the major difference in making DD chase 190+ instead of 175...

  • pai11 on April 22, 2012, 8:51 GMT

i am a DD fan. in a way DD think-tank must thank DADA for making them realise their follies so early in the tournament. this will definitely help them plan better. DDs batting prowess was never tested in this tournament & sad to see when the real occasion came, they were not upto the mark. my personal opinion is Ross Taylor is not at his personal best & it would be better to play Andre Russell/Roelof for the next match. they can drop Negi (hard call for the young lad) & get in Unmukt Chand. Go DD. all the best for ur next match against the same team!

  • anshu.s on April 22, 2012, 7:47 GMT

Delhi gifted the match to Pune first Sehwag's decision to drop a seamer in a favour of spinning allrounder Negi and then not giving him a over, bringing on spinners when Ganguly was batting, not playing Unmukt Chand and persisting with Yogesh Nagar and demoting N.Ojha when he is better suited to top order.Fairplay to Ganguly enthusiasm that he has for IPL is in stark contrast to his other agegroup people who keep on thrashing IPL.although he could have scored a lot faster.I don't understand this fascination with Angelo Mathews and Manhas they are not suited to this format, hope Pandey gets to bat higher and make a contribution.I can't still believe Madrid beat Barca in El Classico !!

What's with ganguly and dhoni comparison in every game when Pune wins and silence all over when Pune loses the match? You can't compare both captains.both are different in approach and played under different circumstances as captain.Saurav built from the scratch after match fixing saga, but the players like yuvraj, sehwag ,harbhajan all came in the ganguly period but they got some skills and survived for longer period. After 2007 chappel era and world cup exit,India was all over again down and out. Then the t20 world cup win and with the coach of Gary Indian team succeeded as a team under dhoni.Even they won many series outside before the last two debacle.people say lucky factors are ignorants..Winning world cup is a big especially public and media,as no team achieved this..so why can't you all Indian fans cherished both the captains memorable wins rather than taking dig at each other and putting down to keep your favorite above? Both ganguly and dhoni are best captains for India.

A lovely matchup of skippers yesterday - Dhoni(present) vs Dravid(past); Ganguly(pioneer) vs.Sehwag(pretender). Not surprising the the most successful (India) skippers won - in their own inimitable styles. It was almost a reprise of the past decade of Indian captaincy. An animated Dada showed us why he was considered the best in the business so did Mr. Cool (Dhoni). But they are amongst the chasing pack as Sehwag and Dravid have the bit between their teeth. Looking fwd to more of this in this IPL.

  • Aganthakudu on April 22, 2012, 5:57 GMT

@jigar_dhonifan "I don't know why people don't see Dhoni as better captain than Ganguly" Why??? because those people can distinguish between a true captain and a poser. Ganguly know how to build a great team. He can turn average players into match winners. In his early days as captain he realized that India needed a genuine quick bowler and one more good spinner (besides Kumble) in order to become a top team. So what he did ? He personally convinced Sreenath to reverse his retirement decision(the rest was history). In a camp for young domestic spinners he found Harbhajan. These two instances just how his commitment in building a team. Now lets see the tremendous inflow of talented youngsters under Ganguly era ... Yuvraj, Kaif, Shewag, Harbhajan, Zaheer, Nehra, I Pathan, Raina, Dhoni himself.. to name a few .. Under Dhoni all I can think of is Jadeja and Y Pathan. The fact is Dhoni looks good only with a great team he inherited from his predecessors. We all know his test (away) record.

  • SamRoy on April 22, 2012, 5:20 GMT

@jigar_dhonifan I am not a fan of Sourav and I agree Dhoni is a far better limited overs captain than Ganguly. But Dhoni is a terrible test captain. Extremely defensive. Forget Ganguly and Dravid, even Kumble was far better than him. Sourav was the captain who taught India to fight away from home in test matches. Dravid also was a fine test captain (though just a decent ODI captain) and India enjoyed success from the seeds Sourav had sown.

  • on April 22, 2012, 4:50 GMT

Time and again DADA has proved himself after being written off by everybody.... I want to ask that has Dhoni, Sachin or even Dravid ever faced this kind of situation... People rating Dhoni as better captain than dada should keep in mind that what kind of team they got when they became captain.... Dhoni got a well settled team with greats like Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman in prime of their form... and what Saurav got in 2001... a misreble team with all kinds of match fixing alligations and a great player Sachin who ran away to take the responsibility of building the team....

India's greatest victories were in Sharjah, WC 1983, Benson & Hedges in 1985 and their first wins against WI and England in 1971. Then India was okay before falling into quicksand under Azhar. only when ganguly took over India emerged. The IPL and the brashness of Jadeja, Raina, Kohli is all thanks to Dada and the seniors. he got us a foreign coach.Yes without belief India would have just been there. The BCCI had money but was not so powerful then. Dada changed it all. Dhoni won the cups and youngsters but Ganguly gave us something better - self belief. He has his own way - Indians are tough to manage. He went to Aus to learn from Greg Chappel. He did not back down against sledging.. He got us shewag, bajji, Yuvi, Kaif, zaheer, nehra, badani, bangar, etc. He was controversial. Ind made the 2003 finals which is better than the 2011 WC win on Ind pitches. Ind won t20 when no one took it seriously. Ind beat Pak in pak and played Steve waughs team! Ind also beat a dominant SL

  • NomDePlume on April 22, 2012, 4:15 GMT

Ganguly reminds me of Mark Taylor. Taylor set up Australia for the 1999-2008 domination but himself didnt win a world cup or other major trophies. Steve Waugh, the next captain won WC1999 (Waugh was in some aspects, like coolness under pressure similar to Dhoni). But it was Ponting who won the next two WC and is the greatest modern Aussie player ( Will Kohli be this player for India??)

  • akbarbirbal007 on April 22, 2012, 3:47 GMT

First of all Hats off to Dada..Take a bow Great and a much needed victory for PWI and what a comeback by the team after a couple of losses.A much needed change too was done in the side as thomas is a very good T20 bowler he is the 2nd highest wicket taker in this format(including domestic and international T20) so far,how can u keep such an impact bowler out of the side. Besides every team has atleast 1good foreign bowler like delhi have morkel, mumbai have malinga, chennai have boulinger, kolkatta have lee, deccan have steyn..

  • Jacman on April 22, 2012, 3:46 GMT

@jigar_dhonifan: No one is taking away anything from Dhoni. The problem as far as I understood is that our youngsters (who have seen Dhoni in his prime) remember only the second half of Ganguly's era (post 2004).

If they want to know why people rate Ganguly as one of the best Captain India has ever had they should be checking the initial phase when he took over as a captain (2000-2003).

For me (and a lot of others) creating something from scratch is more valuable than taking the legacy forward (though that too is a tough job). Sourav created "Team India" which later got renamed as the" Men in Blue and" then as "Dhoni's DareDevils".

@jigar_dhonifan KKR was NOT strong at all for first 2 seasons with its Indian contingent. Ganguly was the lone scorer for them then when Gayle,Mccullum failed. Winning some trophies in shorter formats does not make Dhoni a better captain.

  • on April 22, 2012, 2:36 GMT

@jigar_dhonifan : I thinku started watching cricket after 2005 bcoz the team with which Dhoni won the cup was prepared by Ganguly , Dhoni didn't doo anything special, he got lucky bcoz he got a team well built but DADA after Fixing scandal and Sachin leaving captaincy had virtually just 1 or two good players, rest were founded by him But still got into 2003 Finals. Viru, Pathan, Yuvraj, harbhajan, ZAheer, nehra And even Dhoni was founded by him.Ot of these Viru, yuvraj and nehra were the reasons for that wc win, and yuvraj was reason for that t20 win. so DADA is Best no matters even If DHONI can Win Whole Universe, he will still be 1 grade less Than DADA.

  • rahulcricket007 on April 22, 2012, 2:32 GMT

@JIGAR-DHONI FAN . MATE BECAUSE DADA TRANSFORM A AVERAGE SIDE INTO GOOD ONE . HE BUILDS THE WHOLE INDIAN TEAM WHICH DHONI IS RULING NOW . DADA WAS THE PERSON WHICH BRINGS TALENTS LIKE YUVRAJ , SEHWAG , PATHAN , ZAHEER , HARBHAJAN IN THE TEAM . WHAT YOUR DHONI IS DOING ? HE IS KEEPING PLAYERS LIKE JADEJA IN TEAM WHILE PLAYERS LIKE RAHANE , TIWARI DIDN'T GET A SINGLE GAME IN AUS .YOU CAN SEE STEVEN SMITH WAS UNSOLD IN IPL AUCTION BUT DADA PICKED HIM IN SECOND AUCTION . DADA NEVER SUFFERED AN INNINGS LOSS UNDER HIS CAPTAINCY WHILE DHONI HAS 6 INNINGS LOSS . UNDER CAPTAINCY OF DADA INDIA SHOWED FIGHTING SPIRIT . WHILE DHONI 'S TEAM SURRENDERD IN ENG & AUS . ALSO PLEASE DON'T COUNT IPL WINS AS DHONI 'S ACHIEVEMENTS . IPL IS JUST A DOMESTIC TOURNAMENT . UNDER DADA 'S CAPTAINCY INDIA REACHED IN FINALS OF 2003 WC WHICH WAS PLAYED ON GREEN WKTS OF SOUTH AFRICA . I DON'T SEE INDIA DOING WELL IN AUS IN 2015 WC WITH DHONI 'S TEAM SELCTION & TACTICS .

  • theswami on April 22, 2012, 1:57 GMT

We want DADA back as Team India Captain...... there's no reason why he can't play Tests when he plays FC matches for Bengal.

  • on April 22, 2012, 1:38 GMT

Excellent effort by Ganguly. I think they r the favorites to win the IPL

  • Ra_Thore on April 22, 2012, 0:57 GMT

This is where the experience comes into play to topple star studded team like Delhi Daredevils and Dada framed it well with both bat and ball. He had a great feel about the pitch and charged his bowlers to hit the right areas. It was good to see the crowd's appreciation..

  • kewlol on April 22, 2012, 0:42 GMT

@jigar_dhonifan, the reason everyone thinks Ganguly is better than Dhoni is because, he created a team that could win and showed what we could achieve if we believe in our self. While Dhoni, being a cool guy and all is a very good captain, but all his victories had nothing much to do with his captaincy, everybody was good and they won the world cup, end of story. As for KKR, they never had a strong team on the ground, they had people on the paper but none of the players were available. Also their team management was horrible, multiple captaincy never heard of such stupidity except for the britons. Even then he solely steered KKR almost to a top 4 slot in IPL 3.

How many threads do you see where even if DADA hits a six people come and speak tons about it, while nothing much happens when the same happens for others. He is a leader and he comes back strong. Thats why people love him, everyone loves a fighter and he is one of the highest class.

    Dada of the Match:) :) :) :)

  • on April 21, 2012, 21:42 GMT

I am a DADA fan and you can sure that i am elated more than anyone about this victory. i felt good about everything in the match except for the non-usage of steven smith. I wonder why isn't dada using him as a bowler? it makes more sense that way as he adds more value to the bowling line up. I know there are tons of options, infact everyone except uthappa can bowl, but still i wonder why isn't steven smith's slick bowling isn't put to full use? Is there a reason behind it?

  • jigar_dhonifan on April 21, 2012, 21:36 GMT

I don't know why people don't see Dhoni as better captain than Ganguly...... 1 one day world cup, 1 t-20 world cup, 2 IPL cup, 1 champions trophy.... on what basis you r telling Ganguly as best captain??? whoever says that Ganguly's team is doing good even they are on weaker side, well he had the best team in first 2 IPLs and what happens....... Nobody was betting for him after 2 IPLs......In first 2 IPL, Dhoni and Ganguly came head to head and they both had equal opportunities for winning the title, but look at Dhoni's CSK and Ganguly is not even in KKR....

  • Dravid_Pujara_Gravitas on April 21, 2012, 21:29 GMT

Dadagiri at Kotla! WOW! Respects DADA!! Very glad for you Dada :-). And that sprint! Hahaha... made my day. Love it Dada! Take a bow!

  • kunderanengineer on April 21, 2012, 21:20 GMT

What we witnessed today was not just clever but courageous captaincy from Ganguly.Just when it looked like KP and Sehwag were going to easily take DD home and he ran out of bowling options he decides to lead from the front and bring himself on. And as they say "the rest was history". Not only does he get KP out on his first delivery but then gets Irfan in his next over. This is what really turned the match in PWIs favour. His 41 with the bat also didn't hurt. However, special mention should also be given to Ryder. What a delightful performance from him.

  • on April 21, 2012, 21:07 GMT

Ross Taylor struggled to get going in the company of a relatively inexperienced lower-middle order, and his run-out, in a Ganguly over, virtually shut Daredevils out of the game. Nehra and Thomas returned to complete what was, in the end, a comfortable win. ------ Ross Taylor wasnt run out dude, he was caught by smith of thomas :P

  • on April 21, 2012, 20:37 GMT

Old is gold &gold is Surav Ganguly.Hell yeah I m proud Ganguly fan!!Cheers Dada:)

  • ABdareVinniers on April 21, 2012, 20:37 GMT

I'm a DD fan so perhaps account for some bias. Pune were extremely lucky in the first 6 overs with the 20+ runs that came off edges and that released any sort of pressure that had been applied earlier on. Ganguly and Ryder both were failing miserably at getting the ball away against the seamers and were helped by some lucky edges. Also, Sehwag made some poor decisions as captain. He kept persisting with KP, himself and Nagar simply because there were 2 left handed batsmen at the crease instead of putting faith in Negi, who was picked to play as a specialist bowler. OK, he is bowling into their pads, but if you pick someone as a frontline bowler, you must bowl them for an over at least. Batting luck was horrid too with KP getting a surface scooter and Mahela 's fortune contrasting by a big way Pune's batting luck. Today's result was an upset but still huge credit must be given to Ganguly for backing himself and delivering with not only the bat but also with the ball!

  • JG2704 on April 21, 2012, 20:26 GMT

Have to pretty much agree with shrastogi's comms. I felt it was as much desperate captaincy as inspired captaincy although maybe sometimes desperate captaincy becomes inspired when it comes off. I think what was good captaincy was taking the time out when he did as DD had all the momentum with KP and VS firing. He tried Ryder the over before which was a gamble which backfired terriby. Also I think KP may have got a little complacent and lost the feel due to the time out. Have mixed feelings re Alfie T. I love the player but the longer PW stay in there the longer Somerset are without him and he's a crucial player for us

  • on April 21, 2012, 20:16 GMT

Once again, it is proved beyond any doubt who is India┬┤s all time great captain. At this age, the way Dada batted and bowled, most importantly lead the team, weaker on paper against the strongest side of the tournament, Hats off to you Dada. Critics will always question, writers will always write, but history will tell Dada is the best ever captain in Indian history.

  • shrastogi on April 21, 2012, 18:38 GMT

It was a forced bowling change when Ganguly brought himself on as none of the other options after opening few overs worked and it got the scalp of threatening Pietersen to a bal which kept lower than KP expected as he went for the hit. This coupled with soft dismissal of Sehwag ,whose shot selection today was much better, have brought Delhi down to earth and shows the nature of this format where in this IPL putting money on any one team continuouasly is a grave risk though these two should be amongst the leading contenders for qualifying slots. Delhi gave just too many runs away in the death overs. Delhi is just a ground where even mishits would go for full monty and PW exploited this to full going after the pace of Morkel. This is something Delhi should keep in mind as this is their home ground. Thomas was a good choice for warriors and they would be relieved to win after two close losses.

  • on April 21, 2012, 18:26 GMT

Dada is back with a bang !!! Ganguly proved wat he is...

  • on April 21, 2012, 18:21 GMT

Being a DD fan I'm obviously disappointed. But man What an excellent performance from DADA. Simply won my heart ! Even @ this age he is bowling and picking crucial wickets for his team. I say, Pietersen's wicket was the turning point of the match. For DADA, this victory was important. Feeling happy for him. :) I think, Viru's decision of giving bowl to Pitersen and himself was proved to be wrong. It gave ample time to Ryder and DADA to settle down. And then late fireworks from Smith in just 13 balls gave PWI bowlers the extra cushion against quite strong batting line-up of DD. Great Cameo ! Anyway, its still a L-O-N-G way to go. Points table is still pretty open even more after this game. Loving IPL. :-)
