In September 2011, Srinivasan, an industrialist from Chennai, took over as president of the BCCI, and now controls not just an business empire built around cement, but also the future and fortunes of the richest cricket board in the world. In June 2014, his powers in the cricketing world grew further as he was named the ICC's first chairman.
