His club cricket is with Metropolitans in Toowoomba. He made his debut for Queensland Country in 1992-93 and returned for the two following seasons but then joined Eastern Suburbs in Brisbane in 1995-96. In two seasons with that club he found lack of runs from the team restricted his bowling appearances and so he returned to Toowoomba for the 1997-98 season and quickly regained his place in the Queensland Country team. In the recent Schaefer Shield series he bowled most economically as well as capturing wickets. In eighteen matches for Queensland Country he has captured 37 wickets at 24.78 and scored 175 runs at 14.58. His fourteen wickets in the series at Barooga in 1998-99 was third to DK Wrixon (18) and BJ Smith (17). He appeared for Queensland Academy of Sport in 1994-95 and 1995-96. He is a very competitive player who bowls the ball well up to the batsman and can provide very handy runs in the lower order. He bowled most economically in long spells in the recent match between South Queensland and North Queensland played at Mackay. His primary education was at St Bernards, Mount Gravatt and Our Lady of Lourdes, Toowoomba while he attended St Marys CBC at Toowoomba for his secondary education. He is currently attending University of South Queensland, studying towards a degree in education. (Warwick Torrens, December 1999)
